well as negative impact that globalisation brings within a country (Gereffi, 2014). This
investigation is mainly performed over Barclays plc as it help in gathering information regarding
ways through which The Barclay's become able to improve its business practices and
performance while business expansion. This is because global expansion support Barclay's bank
in getting integrated with the business practices that are used by other bank throughout the world.

operations by improving it as per the global standard. This has a positive influence over the
competition faced by company in its host country as the quality of operation as well as services
get improved which make it capable of dealing with the competition and achieving competitive
edge at marketplace. But on the other side it also have negative influence over the competition
rate which an organisation face. For performing this investigation Barclays bank has been
consider in the following report which is a British international investment bank and financial
service company. It is headquartered in London and offer services among several countries
throughout the world. In addition to this it also become able to develop a diversified workforce
which belongs to different culture and having several skills or capability which support in
improving the standard of operations (Colantone and Stanig, 2018). These all are the factors
which supported Barclays bank in improving its performance at marketplace by integrating the
practices of several other countries to effectively catering the need of customers.These
improvement in banking practices also supported in having both positive and negative impact
over the competition present in market of UK. This is because with the improvement of service
offered by Barclays bank it become able to deal with competition much easier that supported in
achieving sustainability. On the other side this also have negative impact over the competition
present in UK by increasing the level of competition among the rivalry.

trade transaction process. The globalisation practices get increased with the development of level

offering of standardised services companies started expanding its offering to other geographical
regions in order to approach larger number of customers throughout the world and earn
maximum profit. These are the major attractive features which attract number of businesses to
started performing their operations at global level.
The impact of globalisation over the competition faced by Barclay bank
According to the view point of Muis and Immerzeel, 2017, globalisation brings up
several growth opportunities toward a business who want to perform its operations at global level
such as access to new market, larger number of customers, increase in sales ad profitability,
