It cannot be denied that despite several initiatives by government and other organizations the aboriginals are faced with several challenges. According to Whitley, Rawana and Brownlee (2014), indigenous children in Canada and around the world have been long deprived of their basic human rights. They are the major victim of inequalities from structural racism that in embedded in the education system of Canada. Due to the cultural differences they are perceived in different picture. The major barrier for the indigenous children is the overwhelming racism and bias nature. It is noted from the way global societies have constantly been built through claiming indigenous lands. While it has become a dominating nature of the non-indigenous people, the indigenous have learned to stay with the inequalities. Although it is true measures have been taken in order to improve access and initiate progress among the indigenous people there are much of the education that remains far behind from done. 2ABORIGINAL EDUCATION: INSIGHTS & PERSPECTIVES closer with the other population. Today there are schools for the indigenous children however, it has been fund that parents of these children are fearful of their children that their children will fail to develop a positive sense of their identity. It will only make them mentally unwell and underdevelopedfortheirfuture. Also, educationalsystemasawholeisfailingforthe aboriginals. Due to several reasons, the social plight of aboriginals is not adequate. It is through the help of government that these socially backward groups are making it to the schools. However one of the reasons that even after all the effort aboriginals students fail to achieve the appropriate education is due to the high educational cost. If the aboriginal people attain the same education as the other Canadian there will need of am extremely high amount of money to the Canada’s economy. This money cannot be afforded by the aboriginals. Health is another significant issue that has pulled the aboriginals from having the education of their dream. Due to several health issues, the priority is shifted to health instead of education for them. Despite the significance of education in improving the status of aboriginals there have been several aboriginal communities that has failed to and eliminate issues associated with them.
