Game Design INTRODUCTION Academic misconduct is described as when students take actions which are unethical such as cheating, plagiarism and others. These actions could impact their personal and professional lives as students will not be able to learn or improve their skills. Plagiarism is defined as when one student utilize the property of other without their consent. Academic conduct reduces the ability of students to perform well in their personal and professional lives. Academic integrity is defined as the process of making students learn about ethical behaviour where they do not conduct academic misconduct. The following report contains introduction of a game to stop plagiarism along with importance of academic integrity in universities.
Instructions for playing the game There are specific rule and regulations which students have to follow while playing this game: •Every student will have to play with the provided set assigned by their educator. •Each student will be given a time limit of 10 minutes to solve the puzzle. •Educators will provide each student a unique ID which they have to enter after seating on their computer system. •After finishing the puzzle correctly student have to leave the premise. It also provide them to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses which they could improve for their personal as well as professional growth. This will also assist them in making themselves productive and efficient. Academic integrity increases the self-confidence and self- esteem in an individual which helps them in perform better in their future. It also helps in reducing stress and anxiety in people as cheating or plagiarism rise a fear of getting caught in them. Following ethical ways of passing an examination or completing a project makes people productive and leads to happy life. A summary of your reflection on the skills used to produce the game While designing this game I have used my technical skills to develop the structure of this game. This skill of mine has helped me in understanding the requirements to design this project.My ethical skills have helped me in creating this game with utmost sincerity and dedication. I have also utilized my knowledge skills about different subjects which have assist me in creatingquestionnaires and puzzle of this game. My effective communication skills have helped me in gaining information from various resources about how to design a game. This skill of mine hasaids me in understanding the needs of people and what modifications I could bring to this game.My time management skills have provided me an opportunity to complete the designing of this game on specific time period. My effective and supportive leadership style has helped me in leading my team and encouraging them to complete this game by putting their all efforts. CONCLUSION From the above discussion it has been observed that academic integrity is very important in universities in order to make their students responsible. By conducting academic misconduct people lack ability to perform well in their academics and it also impacts on their professional career in future. It has also been concluded that by avoiding academic misconduct students could develop new skills as well as improve their existing abilities. The above initiated game will help universities in stopping plagiarism and academic misconduct among students.
