INTRODUCTION
Plagiarism is basically defined as using someone's ideas without paraphrasing and
citation. This report is going to evaluate the Academic Plagiarism with academic integrity
relevance to professionalism in a business environment. It is divided into two categories that is
intentional or unintentional. There are different types of plagiarism like direct plagiarism, self-
plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism and accidental plagiarism. Moreover, Academic integrity helps to
establish trust with different values like responsibility, fairness, honesty and trust.
PART 1
Academic plagiarism is an act of fraud which means using someone else's work as their
own without giving their words ,ideas and explanation credit (Lin, 2020). It can be done in many
ways for example copying words, data ,music, art ,images, sentences from someone's original
work. Plagiarism is an academic dishonesty often seen as a type of theft. It is incorrect, illegal
and unethical because it does not give original credit to those who originally created that content.
One should verify the evidence of the sources. Its consequences vary from the accidental errors
to serious submitting of whole work. If Plagiarism is done at university level repeatedly, one
may get out of the university. There are many reasons of plagiarism like panic of last moment,
careless note making, working on assignment with others and misunderstanding. Plagiarism is a
complex issue at every level of education. It is unintentional and accidental so, ignorance is not
an excuse(Keefer, Brown and Rothschild, 2020).
Academic integrity is regarding accountability and honesty to enable exchange of ideas
and evolve new knowledge (Tan and Laswad, 2018). . The ethical policy which is very essential
for diverse reasons because it develops a bond of trust with values. For example ,respect which
permits individual point of view and opinions to be express, courage, responsibility admit the
accountability in daily actions, trust is when the policies true, genuine as well as fair and fairness
goes together with trust ,honesty is sincerity. When there is a focus on academic integrity that
will directly affects the process of learning, professionalism and behaviour of business
environment. One should keep learning ,when someone else's work is used as it own then, it will
not not be categorized as learning (Javaid, Sultan and Ehrich, 2020). There are different penalties
for such misconduct that vary from university to university that may also lead to some serious
legal actions or losing job. Academic integrity can automatically reduce the extra stress that will
