Executive Summary
Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of science and engineering that deals with the design,
operation, construction and use of computer systems for information processing, control and
sensory feedback. Robotics is a scientific study for developing machines that can replicate or
substitute human actions. The topic of the present study involves the technology used in
robotics and the various field of applications where robotics can be applied as a technology.
The scope of the study is to gain a deep understanding about the robotics technology and
gather new perspectives and in-depth knowledge regarding the utilizations, applications and
opportunities associated with robotics. For instance, the application of robotics technology
encompasses a wide range of industries and areas including exploration, outer space,
automotive manufacturing or the car industry, the intelligent home, hospitals, entertainment
industry and disaster areas.

1.0 Introduction
The robotics technology is becoming more and more well-known in the field of
education and business. Social robots as intelligent tutoring agents (ITA) are effectively used
in human robot interaction for delivering learning experience in the educational domain.
Robot tutors can accurate interpret the social behavior of the learner mostly with the help of
meta-cognitive learning strategies [5]. In educational domain, robots can act as intelligent
tutors and provide direct curriculum support through supervision, hints, guidance and
interactive tutorials. On the other hand, the various components of robotics technology
including computerized algorithms, mobile sensors, artificial intelligence, unmanned vehicles
and drones are affecting the human life both professionally and personally.
1.1 Background Information
Robotics and simulators are increasingly being used in various fields including in
educational environments and workplace environments. The increasing popularity of robotics
comes from the vast amount of benefits received from the robotics technology including
enhanced productivity and competitiveness, creation of new job opportunities, increased
growth in the workplace environment and so on. Robotics and automation has shown major
improvement in firm’s productivity [4]. Therefore, many firms including Caterpillar,
Whirlpool, Adidas and Ford Motor are adopting robotics and automation technology to
restructure their supply chain by replacing the manual jobs with automated machines.
1.2 Scope of the Paper
Robotics technology is used for repetitive works that humans cannot perform. The
robotics technology is used in the car industry, electronics industry, agriculture, outer space
and “THEREFORE IT WILL BEOME MORE IMPORTANT FOR IT PROFESSIONALS
IN THE FUTURE”. It uses computer vision, complex event processing, edge computing,
