INTRODUCTION
The current report is based in the Board Spa BY Steiner company which is a well know ship
company, the manager of which are facing certain challenges in selection and recruitment of
staff working on Board Spa BY Steiner. Thus, use of primary (qualitative and quantitative
method) source of data collection is made to get better understanding about the challenges for the
managers responsible for the selection and recruitment of staff working on Board Spa BY
Steiner.
Engagement with Literature
It has been analysed and evaluated on the basis of secondary information provided by
Vardarlier, P. and Zafer, C., (2020), that Selection and recruitment process forms out a vital part
for all organisation that is related with the identifying, attracting and choosing of right and most
suitable candidate for a vacant job position. Further, it is the main role of HR manager to ensure
recruitment and selection of right candidate to ensure regular on-boarding of talented employees
to effectively meet organisational goals (Harris and Pressey, 2021). Thus, effective recruitment
and selection process is important to ensure a competent and highly skilled workforce for a firm
on which the entire performance and productivity of a company depended to a great extent.
Further, it has been also seen that improvement in recruitment and selection process is essential
because to hire an effective and talented employee along with for achieving the organization gaol
by the way of effectively competing with the competitors (Tang and Zhang, 2021).
Primary data collection method
The primary sources of data collection are taken as original data source which comprises of
first hand data collected by the researcher for a specific research topic which facilitates most
updated and authentic set of information (Dominique-Ferreira, Rodrigues and Braga, 2021). The
two main methods which are adopted and used to for collection of primary data comprises of
qualitative and quantitative method of data collection which are discussed as below:

Quantitative method of data collection
This method of primary data collection comprises of gathering of information in numeric
or objective form which is much easier to collect and present. Implication of quantitative method
of data collection leads to more effective presentation and analysis of collected fact through
making use of statistical graphs and charts which ensures a more specific and measurable set of
research results to support effective decision making (Chowdhury, 2020). Use of questionnaire is
made for collection of data under quantitative method of research which is basically a written
document comprises of a set of questions related with specific research topic. Thus, use of
questionnaire facilitates and supports easiest way of data collection which is taken as most cost
and time efficient way of gathering primary information. Use of following questionnaire has
been made for collection of quantitative data for current research project on the topic of
