INTRODUCTION
Academic skills is referred as array of skills which mainly handles the effective process
of an organization in order to acquire, retain and deal with different assessment within business.
This report will be based on the literature related to the employment strategies of Disneyland
Paris. It will also allow the readers in understanding about the effective management of the
organization. The research will help in developing a complete information regarding motivated
workforce of the firm who contribute towards the implementation of effective strategies. The
employment strategies of the company are so effective as they encourage promotion and
employment of mostly disabled people and this motivates them and improves their morale
therefore company possess the strong retention policies of the employees who contributes
towards the sustainable development of the business. The company's employees are the best
spokesperson regarding the diversity and the wealth of the jobs at Disneyland Paris.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Disney resort can be commonly known as Disneyland which is one of the best
entertainment resort in California. This is owned and operated by The Walt Disney company
through its parks, experiences and products where homes are divided into theme based parks. It
basically provides t he theme based parks, hotels and shopping space which consists of different
cartoon character which belongs to the Disneyland. This organization mainly focused towards
the retention of large number of employees within the firm (Akgunduz, Kizilcalioglu and Sanli,
2018). This company is also aimed at development of effective employment strategies which
help them to build the strong relationship between the staff members. In order to retain the
employees for the longer run, the company is aimed at establishment of the effective strategies
which derives the satisfied workforce and motivated employees of the enterprise who contributes
towards the effective productivity. Satisfaction of the employees also leads towards the
evaluation of better ideas among all the individuals within the workforce and thus helps in
delivering effective services in order to maintain loyal employees of the firm. Such employment
strategies in Disneyland Paris are According to the Liu, Santhanam and Webster,
2017,Disneyland is a one of the two theme park which is built at the Disneyland resort in
Anaheim, California. It is one of the best entertainment resort which is generally occupied by
large number of families across the world during holiday. Disneyland has often been visited by
millions of people around the world among such large number of people most of the kids do like

such place. As this place is mostly crowded with kids so employees of the Disney land are not
even allowed to grow moustaches. Also, there is a basketball court inside the Matterhorn that is
for employee use only. According to Walkley, 2018, Disneyland Paris's human resource policy is
based on strong commitments to gender equality. In 2013, Disneyland Paris signed a fourth
agreement promoting gender equality at workplace and equal pay for both men and women. This
company focus towards the hiring of old workers, recent workers and people with disabilities
and reinsertion opportunities for the long term unemployed. The organization always
understands its employees as a key to foundation and success. Over 15000 employees
representing 100 different nationalities which leads the company towards the employment of
diversified population.
However, according to Alsem, 2019, Disneyland Paris signed eight agreement with in
2014 for the recruitment of 120 disable employees for next five years who will perform all types
of jobs. This enterprise is committed towards the community from the beginning so employees
are engaged towards the organization of Disney volunteer programs. It encourages staff members
to devote the portion of their time in order to volunteer the activities. The organization mainly
promotes the effective strategies that consists of almost 86% of the employees who are
permanently placed. Although, 89% of workforce are on full-time contracts and 60% of the
Disneyland Paris employees have worked in this enterprise since the 5 years and many among
them are part of the firm since foundation of the company. The best example for the motivation
of the employees includes training programs and development of the employees for the future
improvements. Long term motivation of the employees can be driven internally, So in order to
promote the self confidence and motivation among employees Disneyland considers creativity
and progress on a daily basis. As this company is mainly attentive towards the employment of
more than 600 employees and aimed at supporting trainings and hiring of the differently abled
employees.
Moreover, according to Hsieh, 2018, organizing the incentives for the team members and
arranging the team meetings helps in improving the interaction and satisfaction level among the
staff members. An attempt to improve the relation between bosses and staff at Disneyland Paris
went wrong when management commissioned report described union leader as incompetent and
illiterate. So Disneyland Paris human resource policy is designed to support the professional and
personal development of its cast members. As the company concentrates towards the value of the

human resources within the industry so they encourage and promote the career of the employees
within Disneyland Paris. Also, this company is aimed at creating the diversified teams in which
brings the positive attitude among the individuals within the firm. Disneyland Paris mainly
concentrates towards caring, committed, curious, supportive and open-minded people with good
team spirit. Also, this company mainly recruit the staff members based on the experience,
personality and potential of the individual and this industry promotes internal mobility by
creating large number of gateways in order to move from one activity to another profession.
Offering the wide variety of available career paths is one of the great motivating factor among
the employees of Disneyland Paris (Liu, Santhanam and Webster, 2017). This company also
focus towards the mobility and durable career paths for the employees so with respect to this
80% of the management staff are recruited internally. This result in increased confidence among
the existing employees. It derives the confidence and satisfaction among employees. Offering
various employee benefit schemes to the employees of Disneyland Paris advances the job
security and thus it motivates the people in delivering best services to the organization. People
within the company are more focused towards providing the unique variety of profiles for the
workforce and thus it aids interest among them to perform different tasks.
In addition to this, Disneyland Paris provides trainings that targets the needs of its 500
profession. Even this company has its own training centres which are aimed at developing skills
and boosting the careers of over 15000 cast members (Employee motivation in Disneyland Paris,
2017). Professional development and skill building helps in establishing a powerful team and
thus this helps in increased motivation among the employees which results in the sustainable
development of the firm.
CONCLUSION
From the above study, it can be concluded that Disneyland Paris consists of effective
employment strategies which helps in development of efficient and effective team management
within the company. This report has provided the different types of employment strategies that
derives the motivation among employees and therefore retention power of the organization is
gradually very high which depicts the sense of commitment among employees and creates the
loyal staff members in Disneyland Paris.
