INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is the one of the most important aspect in the life of the student’s life;
it helps in better use of resources and knowledge which is provided to the student for
the studies. Academic integrity can be defined as the no use of unfair practices such as
plagiarism, etc. for gaining the academic gains for the students.
This report is divided into two sections. The 1st section includes three parts which is the
first the introductions of academic integrity and the introduction to the academic
misconduct. The 2nd section is more focused on the personal learning about the
academic skills which has been learned while making the game for assignment 2 and
there has been discussion about various difficulties too.

SECTION 1
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
Academic integrity can be defined as the no use of unfair practices such as plagiarism,
etc. for gaining the academic gains for the students. It is the practice which needs to be
followed by the students while gaining the academic skills in the university level and
even above it. This is a process where the individual needs to learn to have honesty
towards the work doing and the honesty and loyalty towards the work which has already
been done. This forms code of conduct which the students need to keep in mind and
follow without fail. The unfair practices which includes copying the ideas and innovative
strategies while doing a work and given it name of yours. Academic integrity involves
acknowledging the original person who has brought out the work and from which the
student is taking reference and getting the work done. In university level it often happen
that student’s takes credit of the project which has been originally done by some other
person with innovative mind and creativity, which is basically misconduct which comes
under unfair practices (Macfarlane et al., 2014).
Copying someone’s work or Plagiarism is the repetition of the work or copying of the
lines and details from the work which is originally done by someone else. This can also
be understood by not giving reference or credit to the original work and just copying and
using the work in own name. This is the bad work which undertakes and it is basically
stealing someone else’s work and using our own name. It is very important to
understand that copying someone else’s work is just a bad conduct and by which
student won’t be able to gain knowledge or experience but it will affect the learning
ability of them and it destroys the chance of learning and understanding the concept of
personal growth (Gasparyan et al., 2017).
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY- PERSONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Academic integrity depends full on honesty and trust and it is very important for the
personal learning and for the personal growth and development. When a person starts
to learn he or she is told to never copy or cheating other’s work. Academic integrity is

very important as it builds trust among others and students as the work of the student
can make him or her be reliable. Failing in university, failing due to misconducts, etc.
are not sign for the students in the university level and even it the level above than
university level and academic integrity is very important to avoid the failing of the
students or getting expelled from the university due to misconduct or copying others
work and getting less credit score. Academic integrity is very important for the personal
growth and personal development by learning various aspects and by building trust and
honesty in the work and oneself as the students tend to invest their time and efforts and
money for the same. Having good academic integrity helps in making good resume of
the students and creates foundation for the student in the university (Egan, 2018).
Academic integrity helps in building trust and honesty between the people and it helps
in making up the individual ready and prepared for the corporate world outside the
university. Academic integrity allows the students to get freedom to learn and acquire
new knowledge and enhance the existing skills and knowledge which they have.
University has the obligation and duty to keep the documents and the work of the
students safe so that it cannot be stolen or used as others work and done cheating with
it (Chlebikova et al., 2015).
It is very important therefore to keep the students aware of the academic integrity and
about the code of conduct and the actions which can be taken against the students who
steal the work or use the original work as their work. It is also the responsibility of the
students to keep the work creative and innovate and safer from cheating (Eaton, 2021).
IMPLICATIONS OF ACADEMIC MISCONDUCT
Academic misconduct is understood by the unfair practices which are used to complete
a work or give an output which included plagiarism, copying of content, not giving
acknowledgment, etc. Academic misconduct is an offensive action which is taken up by
the students or an individual which brings the career and the future of the student into
risk.

 Cheating: Cheating is the action which includes fraud or deceit the content
written by someone else and copying the same in the individual reports or
assignments for adding well grades or values or traits.
 False Information: This includes giving information or providing false
information without research in the individual reports and academic writing which
can lead to wrong learning to others and give a negative impact on the mentality
of the individual.
 Theft or Damage to the information or intellectual information and property:
This is where an individual steals or copies the full assignment of other and uses
it under their name and getting unauthorized access to other’s property.
Doing academic misconducts can bring the students in very big problems and which
can includes less grades and even suspension or expulsion from the University for
the Misconduct. Different universities have different policies and code of conducts
which are need to be followed by the students while taking any actions while
academic writing (Awasthi, 2019).

SELF LEARNING FROM THE DIFFICULTIES AND LEARNING FROM
CREATION OF THE GAME
In assignment 2 the card game was created which helped in the understanding of the
importance of the key of learning and helped in better understanding of the topics that
have been taught in the classroom. When the project was completed I faced many
difficulties in the learning and it was difficulty in the creation of the assignment. The
learning would help me in better understanding of the topic and better learning of the
topic which has been taught in the classroom and help me understand that where I
stood wrong while taking decisions. The game which was created was a card game
which helped in brain storming of the learning that has been taught in the classroom.
The learning included the following:
 Decision Making: This assignment helped in understanding the power of
decision making and helped in better decision making and with the use of the
code of conduct which is used for the learning of the students in the classroom.
 Personal and Skill development: This assignment helped in understanding the
topic which would help me in developing me personally and develop my skills as
well.
 Self-managed learning: This assignment helped in understanding how to
manage the actions and working by seeing others who follows the ethical
approaches.
The difficulties which I faced while working on the creation of the games are as follows:
 Data Collection: The most difficulty which I faced was in the data collection
because there were different sources giving different information. This helped me
in brain storming myself while working on the creation of the game.
 Correct type of game structure: every games has its unique style and structure
which is used to form that game and for my game the best structure was needed
and it took a lot of my time in doing so which was the great difficulty for me.

These learning and findings are used for developing one better personality and skills
and knowledge as it helps in developing the better future and better orientation which
will be helpful for the next time.
SKILLS I HAVE LEARNED IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR
This academic year has been a year where I have learned so much which has helped
me in various manners. I have acquired skills which will be helpful in developing me in
the field of the field of personal development, skill development and classroom learning.
This academic year helped me in grasping many skills and these skills includes problem
solving skills, communication skills, decision making skills, time management skills, and
various other skills which are very important. These skills are very important in
developing oneself and developing the person in personal and professional way also
which is very important.
These skills helped me in developing my mind and me in a better direction. These skills
helped in better promotion of the game and taking various decisions regarding the
same. Decision making skill shaped and helped in making decisions regarding the
funding of the game and regarding the methods which are need to be used in formation
of the game in better way. Communication skills helped in connecting with the
colleagues who were working on the project of formation of game with me and this
helped in working together as team and bringing out solution for the problems
effectively. Even I was able to understand the code of conduct which is to be followed
by the formation of the game and its affect on the working of the game.
With the creation of the game I got to understand the implication of these skills in my
real life situations. I understood it is very important to do brain storming on an idea and
bring various ideas out of it and information which would be helpful in bringing the idea
into reality. It helps me in understanding that the code of conducts which are very
important to be followed in the university level and the drawbacks of not using it or
following it.
These skills can be developed by the effectively applying the rules and the standards
that have been set by the university for the better performance of the university and the
safety of the information which are with them. By practicing this skills and implementing

it in my behaviour I can clearly say that I have started working on my skills and
personality development and with this academic year I have come out with a new
personality which is strong and effective in nature. These skills can be developed with
time and with efforts and continuous practice.

CONCLUSION
This report is the complete summary about the code of conduct which the universities
frame for the working and for the students who gets enrolled in the university. This
includes the learning which will be learned from the course which has been taught in the
university classroom for the academic year which would be helpful in the better personal
and skill development. This report is divided into two sections. The 1st section includes

to the academic misconduct. The 2nd section is more focused on the personal learning
about the academic skills which has been learned while making the game for
assignment 2 and there has been discussion about various difficulties too.
This report gives the deep study about the misconduct and how it can affect the life of a
student. At end there is a reflective study about how academic integrity helped in
developing personal development and various skills and it also covers the difficulties
which are faced during the creation of the game.
