into new information, retaining data or deal with assessments. The topic which are discussed in
this report are development of portfolio of evidence that shows academic study skills
development, and reflection on essential learning incident with assistance of Gibbs reflective
cycle. Moreover, Collate an annotated bibliography for 3 sources, summarising findings, process
to identify relevant sources and assess the sources credibility. Apart from this, using research
article interpret the quantitative and qualitative data, evaluation of research article quality and
relevance of the findings to health and social care practices are also explained in this report.

as to an effective standard. In addition to this, academic skills are considered as approaches
utilised to learn. These skills are an array of competencies that face the procedures to organise
and take into new information, retaining data or deal with assessments. The effective study skills
may maximise individual’s confidence, skills and self- esteem. They may also minimise anxiety
related to deadlines & test. Through developing efficient study skills, it can able to cut down
upon various hours that spends studying, leaving more period for other things of life. Some of
the academic study skills such as communication skills, time management skills, note taking
skills and many others. So, after course completion for engaging into professional growth and
long term career I joined a local hospital as mental health nurse. The initial 2 to 3 month is of
training during that I was able to gain various skills such as communication skills, time
management skills, note taking skills and many others. All these assist me to perform my job in
effective and efficient way.
