INTRODUCTION
Academic study skill is used to learn something new in term of subject, or develop
understanding about specific topic. It applied for purpose of learning, which provide benefits to
individual person. The current assignment will be based on two tasks, task one will discuss
learning style utilizing Honey & Mumford and form of intelligence using Gardener’s theory.
Furthermore, task two will review the literature around particular topic and that is “To determine
the impact on mental health of care provides during COVID-19 pandemic.
TASK 1
Reflective statement
There are varied forms of models and concepts available in the world that has been used
by many people to develop or improve their learning style, from which they may get better
understanding about specific topic and use information related to it in the future.
Honey & Mumford is one of those models that has been taken into consideration by
many learners, just to obtain benefits from it (Dantas and Cunha, 2020). It encompasses four
learning styles that define who people observe activities of other people and learn from these, to
work, to act, etc. It includes activist, pragmatist, theorist and reflector.
By referring to this model, I want to discuss my learning style and that is a combination
of activist and reflector. Just because of having these two styles, I am capable to take better
action and handle the varied situations in effective and systematic manner, which is quite
important for me. I prefer to learn some new activity and action by taking initiative to do at
myself, because it enable me to determine where I am lacking and where I work hard to make
everything better. By conducting practices and converting ideas into practice manner, I had
learned what I want from longer, whether it relate to my personal or professional career. I take
initiative to engage myself totally on specific task or project that I have and efforts a lot of
complete it, without taking support from the other individuals who exist around me. It is just a
simple and short description about my first learning style which I have. I also want to discuss my
second learning style, according to that I prefer to observe what revolves around my place and
then think to take action regarding it. By thinking and observing about what happening, I had

taken all the decision and learn. I also prefer to watch what other people are doing to achieve
desire outcomes by conducting several practices and activities systematically.
Along with above discussion, I want to describe, form of intelligence, which I have and
use to obtain expected results, by taking varied initiatives. By referring to Gardner’s theory, I
want to define my intelligence that I had been used to obtain desire outcomes. I am able to
analyze the issues and recognize patterns relate to work because I have logical and mathematical
intelligence, which allow me to handle critical situations and also strengthen to recognize the
problems for that effective and appropriate solution is require. I am capable to apply logical
solutions and good at reasoning, which is important for everyone to have.
The outcome of overall analysis present in term of description that define my skills and
weaknesses related to studying. In term of key strength, I am capable to convert my ideas and
thoughts into practical manner and learn from my mistakes. With the help my activist learning
style as my strength, I am capable to take all the responsibilities of my work and issues which
may emerge during overall process of learning and understanding new thing. Another think that I
want to describe is that I am able to analyze issue at my own level and take initiative to solve
these by taking appropriate decisions. I am independent person and never take suggestions from
other about what to do or not. Furthermore, just because of my weaknesses it is quite difficult
from some time to achieve set goals and objectives related to studying. In term of weakness, I am
unable to collaborate with other people and communicate with them in effective manner.

According to, Held, Jones and Forrest-Bank, (2020) mental health is defined as
behavioral, cognitive and emotional well-being of human. It gets affected due to varied factors or
circumstances, whether it relate to personal or professional life. In recent time, COVID-19 is one
of those forces that affect mental health of care providers, who are taking initiatives and
performing really quite hard to save the life of population, who suffers from viral infection
named corona-virus. It has negatively affected entire world in term of taking human life. It put
negative impact on mental health of care providers at high level, in term of increasing a lot of
pressure on them about taking care of each patient, because they all suffering from harmful
