But with the emerging technologies, competition is increasing that affects on the cost, time, flexibility and quality that directly impacts on the productivity of manufacturing industry. In order to enhance responsiveness, stimulate, assist and advance manufacturing process, there is the need of utilisation of the concepts of augmented reality. The concept of digital manufacturing and CAD tools are the current solutions used in this industry. The maximum requirements and expensive processes of virtual reality used in the manufacturing industry is also a big problem. Shortcomings/ limitations in the current /existing solutions The limitations of the current solutions are related to the lack of innovativeness and the constraints related to the planning and designing of products impacts on the quality of products. Importance of solving this problem This study is important in order to advance the processes of design, planning, machining and other through using the concepts of augmented reality. 2. The Main aims of this research The goal is to understand and advance the AR concepts, integrate these concepts with real working surrounding (manufacturing processes) and enhance the quality of products in order to boosts growth of manufacturing companies. 3. The questions which need to be addressed in this research RQ1: How the concepts of augmented reality increase the productivity of manufacturing industry? RQ2: What are the challenges faced by the manufacturing company? RQ3: How AR facilitates the processes like planning and designing? RQ4: What are the current issues and how it could be resolved through the involvement of AR? 1

A Brief Description of Your Proposal Augmented reality is a novel human interaction tool that superimposes the information generated by the computer on the real world surrounding. The combination of AR with the human efforts boosts the designing and developing processes of manufacturing industry. The increasing quality of product, quick responses and customization would be attained through this study. 5. Factors affecting the research and ethical considerations (if needed) The ethical, social and legal values have been considered for this research. The AR concepts have been incorporated in manufacturing processes with keeping in mind the flexibility, cost and time-effectiveness of the solution to facilitate the designing, planning, machining and other processes of manufacturing industry. The relevant information is taken from the renowned resources. 6. The Process or Methodology of Your Project This research project involves the understanding of AR concepts which is then integrated with the manufacturing processes. The information for the study is collected through CSU library and the different solutions were analysed. The evaluation of the existing best solution help in proposing a technique that could effectively integrated with the manufacturing and designing processes in order to improve the quality of products. The suggestions will be provided and future direction will also be directed. 7. Expected OutcomesThe expected outcome of the research are as follows: The AR will be effectively integrated with the human capabilities to boost productivity of manufacturing processes. The Designing, planning and machining processes will be improved. The cost-efficiency, innovativeness, flexibility and other discussed factors will be achieved.
