TITLE: Analysing the impact of globalisation on business performance – A casestudy of Pret manger. INTRODUCTIONGlobalisation has brought the biggest transformation in method of doing business. It hasboth positive and negative effect on business performance. Globalisation has brought someopportunities as well as challenges for company operating their business at international level. Thepresent report have focus on analysing the effect of globalisation on the business in context of Pretmanger. Study will include the detail about different methods used by researcher for conducting theinvestigation process. It will also include the suggestions related to various strategies which canimplemented by an organisation in order to achieve success in global market. LO1 P1. Research proposal Aim : Analysing the impact of globalisation on business – A case study on Pret manger.Objectives:In terms of their growth at such a fast rate, I will be considering how they haveachieved this success in the global market and why people are happy to have the chainin their country.Is it because of their contribution to the wellbeing of the population through theirfood: Sandwiches, Salads, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, soups, wraps, baguettes andcroissants?Has the food and fresh fruit really enabled them such success? And led to growingdemand for breakfasts by local people to help them to have a healthier lifestyle?Have Pret reached a stage whereby they have been accepted in the various countries andhave transcended religion, culture and dietary concerns on such a large scale? In terms of responsibilities: The Chain takes responsibility against the pollution of theenvironment, the public premises which serve food or drink on using plastic bottles. It willask customer to bring their own cup and will get 25p discount, they have in place aCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR policy). Therefore, a well-designed reusable cup hasbeen launched because Pret say that they want to be environmentally friendly.Rationale for selecting the topic :The Reasons for choosing this research project is that many organisations are facing theissues because of globalisation so scholar wants to help them in dealing with global issues.. other rationale is that scholar has interest in analysing the impact of globalisation on business. Studyis important a it will assist company in identifying the strategies for ensuring success ininternational market.Literature review According to the view of (Ritzer and Dean, 2019), Globalisation can be referred to as theprocedure of through which companies develops international influences on an international scale.As per the opinion of Epstein, (2018), globalisation can be defined as the integration of economy.The author states that Globalization presents opportunities to increase prosperity. According to theperception of Hamilton and Webster,(2018), business entity in order to ensure success ininternation market need to develop the understanding about effect of changes in global factors ontheir business operations. As per the view of Rodrik, (2018), strategic partnership is the beststrategy to ensure success at global level. The author also stated that strategic partnership strategywill help firm in gaining competitive advantage. According to the thinking of Hamilton, (2018), anenterprise need to concentrate on delivering the quality products or services to customers, as thistactic will help them in ensuring success.
