Introduction
Organizational shift refers to any modification occurring in the entire working community.
Many companies have an important characteristic of this. A company has to build
adaptability to change otherwise the forces of change will either leave it behind or be swept
away (Bagley, 2013). In a progressive culture, systemic change is inevitable. Businesses
may prevent stagnation with organizational change strategies, thus reducing disruption as
much as possible. Preparation for success is important, particularly during an effort to
change. But one cannot plan without understanding what type of change is taking place.
Modern organizations are highly dynamic, versatile, and adaptive to the variety of changes
that help they achieve long-term competitive advantage over others.
In this study the prevailing changes in Amazon, USA are identified and analysed. It is done
with the motive of addressing the prevailing problems in the organization. The changes are
addressed effectively in this study with the help of few change management models. The
Justification has also given on an effective change intervention program framed by
organization. The barriers and ethical considerations in addressing the change intervention
program are also discussed with respect to the strategies to overcome the resistance to change
(amazon, 2019).
Background of the Problem
Amazon.com, Inc. is a Seattle-based, American multinational technology company focused
on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. It is
considered one of the Big Four tech companies among Apple, Google, as well as Facebook.
The company is founded by Jeff Bezos around 1996 in Washington, US. Since then the
company is serving wide range of customers throughout world. Irrespective of the size and
revenue chart of the company there are few problems that are usually encountered by
management or employees of the Amazon Company. The problems can be related to the
technology, product line or organizational structure of Amazon Organization or any of its
branches in USA. Hence with this view current study analyze the prevailing changes that are
needed in the company to rectify or solve the problems (Tidd & Bessant, 2018).
Factors behind the Organizational Change
Change is inevitable in an organization’s life. Most of the companies in today's business
world face a complex and changing business environment (Jabri, 2017). In Amazon there
are few factors that are responsible for bringing change, which are described as follows:

1. External Factors
a) Technological factors: As technology changes in the world of the company, and
other companies embrace the prevailing technology, the Amazon Group becomes
a smaller amount of cost-effective including weakens its competitive situation. So
it's got to assume new technologies. The technology element also influences the
organization in order to bring about change.
b) Market Factors: There are two types of factors that may influence a
corporation’s competitive state, other associations supplying the identical products
including the state of buyers buying the goods. Any transformations in these
factors may need that Amazon Company makes appropriate changes.
c) Social factors: The social factors have arisen due to the various influences such
as the stage of urbanization, education, sense of sovereignty as well as foreign
influence owing to new points of information. Within Amazon Group these
factors affect transition at a broader stage (Jones & Harris, 2014 ).
d) Political as well as Legal factors: Political including legal considerations
precisely determine the behavior an individual may perform, as well as the
procedures that will employ in carrying out those activities. Such factors bring
significant improvements to the Amazon Business, which have a significant
impact on the organization.
2. Internal factors
a) Human Resource factors: The human resources of the company are also
considered one of the biggest factors in considering the implementation and
coping up with the prevailing changes in Amazon organization. These factors
affect the change processes in diverse manner (Ansoff et al., 2018).
b) Factors relating to Organizational Structure: The factors related to structure of
Amazon organization also facilitate changes in that organization. It is considered
another internal factor in implementation of change.
c) Factors relating to Organizational Policies and Objectives: The objectives and
policies of an organization depend on various factors that bring change in overall
conditions of the Amazon organization.
Analysis of the Organizational Problem through Change Management Models
The prevailing problems in an organization may be the pre stage of implementation of change
in that organization. Same goes with Amazon in which the changes are identified and
