TASK1
INTRODUCTION
Leadership is referred as the quality of an individual to influence others in order to
attain all goals and objectives in defined manner. Leadership is major element of management.
On the other hand, management is defined as the process of managing things in their best
possible manner. Basically, it is the skills of getting things done in efficient manner through
other as well as with them. There are various differences between the management and
leadership such as management is the organised and formal group of people weather
leadership is the both formal as well as informal groups. In Uber all work done in well
coordinate manner in order to provide better services to customers. Management is the
activities to manage people to bring stability with organisation and it includes various policies
and procedures to establish effective management (Zuraik and Kelly, 2019). On the other hand,
leadership is activity to influence employees to work in right direction to encourage then to
gain high work performance level. It contains principles and guidelines that guide employee to
work in specific manner and it is the proactive strategy. In Uber all management as well as
leadership aspects are followed to guide lead and inspire employees and manage their work
efficiently.
TASK2
Contrast between leadership style
By the Kalanick depart is the CEO of uber who follows the Laissez- fair leadership style
because he is the hardcore, toxic, dysfunctional and abrasive leadership behaviour. The Laissez-
fair leadership theory is being discussed below:
Laissez- fair leadership style: The respective leadership style in quite differentiated to
the autocratic leadership style (Harris and Jones, 2017). In this leadership style the leaders have
the attitude of trust, reliance on their respective employees as they do not give too much
instructions to their employees. Kalanick depart free its employees to use their creativity,
experiences and resources in order to meet all goals and objectives. The leader has trust and
