established in 1997. eBay is an auction site with a wide variety of goods and mostly second-
hand goods, turning into a significantly larger array of products. Additionally, through the
acquisition of PayPal, eBay has revolutionized the digital payments profile, disrupting the
business in 2015, further supporting the growth of e-commerce payment platforms. According
to Investopedia eBay's total revenue was just $10.71 billion, up 3.4% from 2019 and $2.1
billion in stream income in 2020. As of June 30, 2020, eBay has a growing rate. Net income
growth after 12 months is 109.25%. eBay owns 109.4 million monthly users. Ebay has been
successful in applying digital options, the company's Kpis has been competing with giant
Amazon. The weakness of eBay is that the search bar for goods has too many items that are
inconvenient for buyers and the prices are not accurately priced. Additional, eBay's strategies
are limited in flexibility because of geographical differentiation and analysis of customer
needs. The strength eBay is not only a big brand that is trusted by customers, it also has
effective internal and shipping costs.
2. Social network application and groups.
-Metaverse is an internet corporation that operates social networking sites. in which,
Facebook is the largest website when reaching 1 billion users. The strength of
facebook is that it has a large user environment, facebook integrates with other
applications such as instagram, message or google maps. In addition, Facebook also
learns about customers ' needs, preferences, habits by analytical algorithms.
Facebook's weakness is that it only relies on advertising to generate income. On the
other hand, Facebook is also accused of poor protection of user information or lack of
privacy attitude of users.
3. Search engine optimization.
-Snowflake is a software provider, they lease cloud algorithms from Amazon (AWS),
Microsoft (Microsoft Azure), and Google. It is a company that collects data from
different sources and helps companies analyze and organize them. Snowflake owns a
data warehouse, which helps to improve the quality of reports and supports decision-
making businesses. Thanks to the sublease of big companies, snowflake didn't need to
invest in servers. Storage capacity is the strength of this company. Besides, the
disadvantage of snowflake is that it cannot work independently and must depend on
suppliers . Snowflake is one of the fastest-growing companies in 2020. The business
of providing cloud data technology has grown well before 2020. However, this
company's role is even more important during the pandemic, when businesses need to
track supply chains, test drugs, and health records. In 2020, Snowflake revenue
reached $592 million, up 124%. Shares of the company rose 106% after the IPO in
September last year. Snowflake's revenue this year could exceed $1 billion. Currently,
the company has 77 customers who spend $ 1 million on products each year
(Thu,2021).
