Tittle - Effectof concept of career plateaus on performance, job satisfaction and organisational commitment INTRODUCTION Career plateaus lead to have major impact on employees performance, level of job satisfaction as well as organisational commitment. It is crucial that employees have required skills and capabilities to correctly and effectively perform business practices in order to attain desired goals and objectives (Lin and Chen, 2020). The main purpose of this proposal is to determine the overall effect of career plateau on performance or productivity of employees. In this different aspects and elements related career plateau has been determined with the motive of increasing employees performance or job satisfaction level. This proposal includes background and rationale of the project in order to identify the importance of the research topic. It consist of research methodology that helps in analysing and evaluating correct and accurate information about the topic. Methods and approaches to gather accurate information has been identified. Background and Rational Career plateau can be describe as the situation according to which employee has attain highest position level with in the company as well as has less possibility of vertical promotion. This consist of different factors suchas lack of skills, corporate restructuring and many other that will lead to reduce the possibility of promotions. It has been determined that career plateau lead to have major effective over employees working performance with in the organisation. It will lead to affect over employees performance, job satisfaction or organisational commitment. This will lead to influence capabilities of employees for goals accomplishment. It is essential that employees have required skills and potential in order to correctly conducting business practices. It is crucial that company is proving right and equal opportunity to each and every employee that lead to growth and development (De Clercq and et.al., 2020). There are two types of career plateaus that is structural and content. In structural plateauing individual become incapable to rise further in flattened pyramid structure of the organisation. In content plateaued it includes that employee has accomplished proficient in their job as well as expect no further challenges associated with the current job islow. It has been determined that career plateauing is very 1
important issue as it will potentially negative affect over employees as well as organisation. This will lead to have major negative impact over organisation along with this lead to reduce performance of business. It is necessary for organisation to take correct steps and actions that will lead to reduce the negative impact of career plateau with the motive of enhancing performance of employees along with the improve their job satisfaction level. Rational It is important for investigator to determine and analyse different issues and problems that could be faced by company due to career plateau along with the influence of job satisfaction level. In this research project it is essential that researcher is collecting and gathering data which is helpful for successfully resolving the issues of business. Organisation needs to provide clear and accurate working opportunities to each and every employee that will lead to their growth and development (PARKYOUN and MOON, 2020). It is essential to identify and determine the effective of career plateau on performance of employees, organisational commitments as well as job satisfaction level of staff member as it will influence the goal accomplishment of business. Reduction of possibilities of vertical promotion can be lead to demotivate employees as there are less chances of career growth and development. Due to which employees will not be motivated to conduct business practices in more effective manner as well as commitment with organisation goals will also be reduced. It has been identified that employees will be more committed with organisation when there is high chances of career development along with this have high job satisfaction level. This study is very important and required by individual as it will help in increasing understanding of person about the different aspects of career plateau as well as analyse its impact on their performance. It is consider as important study as it will help individual in taking correct or accurate decision that will lead to growth and development of person. It is very important for researcher to consider effective and efficient research strategy that assist in taking correct decision in order to successfully and effectively gather required data. Quantitative research strategy includes systematic process or way of finding accurate data in order to take accurate decision about the topic. In this research practices investigator is considering mixed method for conducting research practices. Research methods – There are different methods that helps in taking correct and accurate decision for successfully conducting research practices. It is essential for researcher to consider appropriate methods for performing research task as it will assist in timely attaining business practices. Sampling strategy – Sampling strategy is refer as the strategy that helps in selecting sample for successfully or effectively performingresearch task. Sample is useful for determining correct and accurate information about the topic (Burk and et.al., 2020). In this research, investigate is conducting business practiceson the basis of random sampling strategy. Under this strategy researcher will be selecting sample on the random basis that will provide equal chances of opportunities to each and every candidate. Data collection – Data collection can be describe as the way in the information and data will be collected in order to successfully and effectively performing research practices. There are different ways andmethods through which data could be collected such as online information, interview, questionnaire and many other.
