What is the core skill? Negotiation: Negotiation can be described as a method which will help people to settledifferences effectively. It is a process in which the agreement and compromise is reachedwhile avoiding the conflicts and arguments. In any kind of disagreement, individuals are aimto achieve the possible and best results or their positions. There are some key components ofsuccessful results such as maintaining relationship with people around you, principles offairness, seeking mutual benefits effectively (Goodwin, Piazza and Rozin, 2015). There aresome specific forms of negotiation which are used in different situations such as unfairness,legal system, disputes and conflicts between people and domestic relationship (Kang, Grayand Dovidio, 2015). Negotiation skills will help to solve the disputes and conflicts arisingbetween you and people.Why is this core skill important? Negotiation skills are important that it helps to solve the disputes and conflicts arisesbetween people effectively. I select this skills because this the best I found yet and alsoeffective in terms of solving issues and problems between me or any people. It will help meto interact with other person so that I can understand the problems and issues from which Ican manage to solve the issues with my negotiation skills effectively. It will create mypositive image in front of everyone who had interacted with me. I shall coup up with all thecontradiction and weaknesses I am facing in the way of disputes and conflicts effectively.The Zartman defines negotiation as a process of combining issues and problems at one placeand under a decision rule of unanimity in which the results are identified by the processeffectively.Reflect on your current competent regarding this skill. How did you assess yourcompetence?I have analysed that I had improved my negotiation skills by adopting different negotiationpractices. My friends and family also complement me on my negotiation skills. They willhelp me by motivating towards my remarking disputes and conflicts which is pleasing. Myteachers also help me by encouraging my talent to accomplish the task or project in a limitedperiod of time. I am able and also capable of time which will help me to concentrate on mynext project effectively and efficiently and through this I can achieve my desired goals andobjectives. I will be competent enough with the help of my peers, tutors feedbacks andfriends and my family members effectively. Can you identify any contradictions?

The most contradiction which I face during the negotiation skills is to cope up with differentpeople with various nature and styles. It will reduce my confidence to manage the personwith his talking level. These interruptions occurring during my task restricts the flow of myconcentration as well. Whenever, I try to solve a conflict or dispute, everyone tries tobecome smart and not allow me to shoe my negotiation skills from which I am able toprovide a solution for that. How will this skill help me in the future? Negotiation skills will help me in the future to solve the conflicts and disputes arisesbetween people and me. This will also help me to analyse different thoughts and thinking ofpeople towards me and anybody else effectively. I can easily cope up with people who havehabit to raise issues regarding conflicts and disputes efficiently. This skill is important that itwill help to solve conflicts arises between two parties and also for exchanging informationand also it helps in understanding the core reason behind the issues. It helps in gaining theknowledge and information regarding the thoughts and whereabouts of the others so thatpositive results can be generated (Presser and Sandberg, 2015). Preparation, discussion, clarification and identification of goals, negotiate towards a win-winresult, agreement and course of Action will be the process of negotiation skills for me. I willapply it everywhere where I found the needs of making sense through negotiation skills. What is the core skill? Public speaking: Public speaking is all about communication process in which theinformation is communicated to the audience (Rochat, 2014). Public speaking is usuallydone in schools, personal lives, workplace and where the large audience is present. Criticalthinking and verbal and non verbal communication skills will help to communicate withaudiences in order to produce benefits effectively.Why is this core skill important? Public speaking is very important that communication refers to the backbone of societywhich allows to make connections, influence decisions and also motivate changeseffectively. In the lack of communication skills the ability to progress in this modern worldand in life itself will be impossible (Steinbeis, 2016). It will also improve the communicationand leadership skills within me from which I am able to manage a number of people under aroof effectively.Communicating information will also help to solve the conflicts and disputes arises betweenme and people as well. This will also boost the level of my making understandings withpeople which will also help me to make my own contribution towards managing peopleefficiently.
