1TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENTWSQ framework is the Workforce Skill Qualification proposed by the SingaporeWorkforce Development Agency (WDA) for the development of the skills and qualification ofthe individuals in terms of making them competent and potential employees (Skills FutureSingapore, 2017). This WSQ framework is a national credential system which is based on thenational standard system. This system is practical and accessible in terms of design which is usedfor providing potential employees to the companies and the employers are provided with a widerange of individuals to choose from (Ee & Chang, 2012). The key attributes of the WSQ framework are the competency map, qualificationframework, competency standards, curriculum, training and assessment guides. This attributescan be stated as the basic components of the WSQ framework. The first attribute are presents themap of the different sectors in terms of the competencies of the individuals. The competencymap includes competency units and categories, occupational structures and key occupationaltitles, sectors and the presentation of the WSQ qualifications. The next attributes refers to thequalification needed for the each competency level. In addition, this attributes refers to thefeatures and the distinguishable characteristics of the qualification. The third attributes of the WSQ framework refers to the different components thatsignifies the competency level and standards. Along with this, the competency standards entailsthe different documentations needed as the evidence of the qualification and competencies thatthe individual possess for certain job post. The fourth and the last attribute of the WSQframework denotes the guidelines that is needed for the development of the training proceduresand the assessment instruments.
