Aviation also known as a air transport that is related to the activities that encompassing
mechanical flights as well as aircraft industry. Aviation employment and training is
required to perform the job roles effectively and properly utilised the skills and
competencies of managers and employees. In this assignment Marshall UK is chosen
which specialising in design, development, modification, maintenance as well as
conversion of military, civil, business as well as general aircraft. In this report
develop attribution for Dispatch as well as Airport manager by determining skills and
roles.

Description of career option
There are many career options in aviation industry like airline pilot,
dispatch manager as well as airport manager. Dispatch manager is
responsible for coordinating all tasks that are performed in
warehouse or call centres on a regular or daily basis. Whereas,
airport manager is responsible for supervise manager and
employees, estimate budget, maintain records as well as
maintenance and repair airport equipments.

Dispatch manager
This plays a crucial role in aviation as
it takes whole responsibility of
warehouse and dispatch department
in order to manage dispatchers and
production goals of the personnel.
It is also responsible to recruit,
terminate, review, monitor as well
as training of their staff members.

Airport manager
The job role of airport manager is to
keep person's in the correct
directions as they handle many
activities like signing lease
contract with airlines, meeting
safety regulations as well as deal
with emergency situations and
plan future growth also.

Core skills of Dispatch manager:
Critical thinking skill- In order to manage all the work it is mandatory
for managers to complete their work and solving all issues by
thinking in a critical manner which covers all aspects of those
problem. So the critical thinking is one of the major skill which
helps organisation to perform their work by making effective
decisions.

Core skills of Airport manager:
Problem solving skill- Airport manager are the top persons who make
decisions related to the airport functions and operations. Along with
this airports are well known for their hygiene environment and the
timely flights. So as being the manager of Marshall, it is mandatory
for the individual to find out the optimum solution for all problems
which reduces the performance of organisation.

Dispatch manager: From the above skills of Dispatch manager it has
been found that they was lacking in people management skill as
they fails to manage customer services in an appropriate manner that
will gives negative result. As they plans to develop those skill by
engaging more in customer or employees oriented activities such as
participative management, problem solving and so on that helps in
knowing about the expectations of people which leads in betterment
of work. For this skill development it requires 1 months time.

Airport manager: It has been shown from the skills of Airport manager
that they lacks in time management skill as they are not able to perform
and complete tasks within the time period which gives ineffective
results. In order to overcome from this issue a manager need skill
development exercise which will develop by preparing schedules and
divide overall works in a systematic form in order to accomplish within
the time-frame. For developing time management skill airport manager
requires 15 days.

Conclusion
It has been concluded from the above assignment that dispatch
manager and airport manager both plays an important role in the
aviation industry which are employed and trained in an effective
manner in order to perform tasks in an adequate manner. As they
have separate job roles and skills that are required for working
