INTRODUCTION
Airport and airline management is an administration of the airports and the airlines. It
mainly involves the activities where the strategy is set for the airport in order to provide and
gather the information on the airline operational and commercial priorities. It also includes the
key characteristics of the selection of aircraft and impact of decision making in context to
airports. A research is being conducted with the task to investigate growing demand of the
touchless travel and involves identification of the key criteria which constitutes the contactless
experience for passenger (Mueller and et. al., 2019). The airport chosen is the Birmingham
airport which is an international airport that is located in Metropolitan Borough of the Solihull,
England. This report shall cover the rational of conducting the research, methodologies, literature
review and conclusion on the findings.

Rationale of research.
The research is being conducted in the Birmingham Airport in order to identify the
growing demand of the touchless travel. The aims and objectives of the research is discussed
below-
Research Aim:
To investigate the demand of the contactless travelling so that passenger can get
contactless experience while travelling during Covid 19 pandemic. A study on Birmingham
Airport.
Research objectives:
 To examine the demand of touchless travelling at Birmingham Airport.
 To identify the key areas where the touchless technology can be used in Birmingham
airport. To determine the benefit of contactless travelling for passengers.
Rationale of research
The reason behind this research is to investigate the need for contactless travelling,
especially at the time of pandemic of Covid 19 so that contactless experience can be provided to
the customers in order to give them safe journey. This research will help in identifying the
