1. Introduction
Personal growth may happen throughout the course of a person's whole
life. It can include official and informal actions for developing others in
positions such as teacher, guide, counsellor, manager, coach, or mentor. It
is not restricted to self-help. In the context of institutions, personal
development refers to the approaches, programmes, resources, strategies,
and evaluation systems available to assist good adult growth at the
individual level. The topics that were discussed under the project is
related to PDP plan, definition of personal and professional development
along with their three types of goals with suitable example are explain in
it.
2. Discuss personal and professional development
Personal & professional development known as the activity process for which
both individual and organisation work together for the purpose of master new
skills in order to meet obstacles and attain outcomes. It tends to be connected to
individual's and group's development needs.” identified & evaluated key personal
and professional leadership skills for example time management, conducting
meetings, giving presentations, and stress management in this task, that tends to
be achieved through observing current abilities and developing as well as
following PDP. Analyzing present capabilities, and implementing personal growth
strategies, as it supports to achieve goals
3. Explain value of short term goals along with at least 3
personal examples
Short-term goals are objectives that you want to attain in the near future. Short-
term objectives might be set for today, the next week, the next month, or the next
year. A short-term goal at work, for example, may be to increase production over
the next 30 days. The goal of creating short-term goals is to assist you attain your
long-term goals. The more specific and actionable your short-term goal list, the
more likely you are to complete each aim on time.Short-term terms goals are

crucial as it tends to allow to achieve objectives which related to long term.
Some of the benefits of setting a short-term objective are as follows such as
It helps to give clear direction
Improves motivation level
Eliminates Procrastination.
Examples of short term goals-
Revision of syllabus- To acheive good score in examination it is very
important set time table first because if proper schedule is there than it
become easy to achieve the short term goal. As duration of 15 days are fixed
for the purpose to revise all the chapters of companies law. To achieve this
goal there is need to wake up early in the morning at 5.00 a.m and start
learning all the sections. Through covering two chapters daily it become
possible to complete revision on time. To meet thew objective short notes are
prepare so that it quick revision is possible with that summarized notes. .To prepare taxation notes: As examination are scheduled in the month of
December so achieve my long term goal. I have to make some smarll targets
like to get exemption in the subject tax. I have to do proper planning in
advance for this, hand written notes are prepare with in a 30 days so that
revision starts as early as possible to achieve long term objective. Good
notes will assist in studying for examinations and completing assignments. As
all the topic can not possible to recall during a class lecture, taking notes is a
smart habit to develop in order to better prepare yourself for your studies
To eliminate procrastination::It would be difficult to fulfil workplace goals
and execute tasks on time if you are lazy and procrastinate at work. To stay
motivated, you must find a technique to eliminate procrastination by making
your work exciting .This is a good short-term goal that I set for myself this year
to achieve. Spend one hour daily on TV: After twenty days there is an bank exam for
which I am preparing so to improve by general knowledge on regular basis I
am watching television and listening radios in alternate days. It helps me a lot
to crack government exams.
