TASK 1
Question 1
Scope of organisation sustainability policy is that management able to develop and
maintain balance among the human requirement and natural world. This mean they able to fulfil
requirement of society by offering them natural products which didn't harm environment.
Through organisation sustainability policy company also able to create green strategy that aimed
for protecting environment by concerning social, economical and cultural environment
(Ameen,Mourshed and Li, 2015). There are several environmental or sustainability law,
regulations or code of practices which a company need to adopt in order to sustain at the market
place in effective manner such as Environment protection Act 1990, Environment Act 1995,
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), 2010 and so on.
Question 2
There are various steps included in policy development and practices for organisation
legislation as well as procedures like first stage is identify need of policy, then identification of
person will done who take responsibility, after that information are gather, next stage is draft of
policy. Then consultation with stakeholder will done who will finalise the policy then
consideration will done whether procedure are needed then implementation and monitor will
done.
Question 3
Barriers which impact implementation procedure are related to legal and institutional,
financial, cultural, technological and so on barriers (Awan, Kraslawski and Huiskonen, 2017).
Strategies which can adopt to overcome it are train staff, develop guidelines, aware about
policies and effectiveness, develop strict rules, conduct open communication and taking
improvement suggestion.
Question 4
The three aspects that are related to sustainability to organisation system and procedures
are society, economic and environment. There are various types of social responsibilities which
organisation may conduct for sustainability such as minimise carbon footprint, do charity,
improve labour policy, plan trees and so on.

Stakeholders who involved in policy develop are government, investor, shareholders,
partners, protestors, charities, customers, media, trade group and so on, in order to engage them
company may describe them about new policy (Bentivoglio, Giampietri and Finco, 2016).
Stakeholder will involved at the time of approval stage so that further add on or minimization
will conduct accordingly. Consultation is procedure in which discussion is done on specific
topic. Stakeholder will involved at starting stage of consultation so that policy will develop
accordingly.
Question 6
There are several strategies which can be used for promoting workplaces sustainability
policy such as add green section in company newsletter, conduct discussion related to
sustainability goal, share sustainability outcome, host recycling program etc.. Through these
strategies expectation of stakeholders is that implementation of sustainability policy will done
successfully.
Question 7
A company may adopt numbers of communication method for interacting with
stakeholder when they are implementing sustainability policy at workplace such as conduct
conference call, meeting, email them about policy and do informal meetings. Moreover for
conducting communication with employees they may adopt are open meeting, email, one to one
interaction etc..

Management of a company can use different methods for tracking succession and
continuous improvement of sustainability policy such as they can develop standards and check
procedure accordingly (Blok and et. al., 2015). Moreover in order to determine that activities are
undertake and responsibility assigned effectively management may conduct training and
development session of employer and employees.

Strategies which a company can implement in order to continuous improvement in
resource efficiency are train employees, aware them about role and responsibility, develop
proper strategies, conduct work according to set standard and check standard regularly.

For development of workplace sustainability policy a company management may hire
expert and develop strategies according to requirement and standards. On the other hand in order
to communicate these procedures they may use different methods such as conduct open meeting,
Email about policy, display policy on board and many others.

Responsibilities which a project manager may establish for development and
implementation of sustainability policy are all process will conduct with recycle or reuse
material (Deshwal, 2015). Company use environment friendly material, all employees will
treated equally and so on. Moreover in order to assign these responsibilities to individual team
members project manager will evaluate their capabilities and past record so that right person get
right responsibility.

It is essential to document outcome and provide feedback on the basis of workplace
sustainability policy because through it all members connected to workplace able to know about
the result or effectiveness of these policies which also encourage them to contribute in respective
process. Methods which may used for communication are formal meeting, open communication,
one to one meeting, display on board, email document and informal meeting during lunch or
dinner.

It is essential to conduct investigation of progress related to policy implementation
because through it management able to know policy's effectiveness as well as it also help in
furtherer improvement.

There are several methods which can be used for monitoring records and identifying
trends which may need for improvement practices such as management may conduct research,
hire experts and so on (Dissanayake, Tilt and Xydias-Lobo, 2016). Furthermore, management
may use new trends for continuous improvement of performance through different methods like
design training program accordingly.
