BUSINESS COMMUNICATION INTRODUCTION Business communication is important concern for organization. Through this process members of business share information with each other and manager promote their services and products. Sri Lanka is a tourist destination but terrorist attack on luxury hotel in Sri lanka. Director of hotels and resort has aim is recover situation as earlier within three to six months and it also want to open new resort. For promotion of new resort business communication is important. This report will be cover challenges to effective communication, strategiesforovercomebarriersandawarenessofculturalinfluenceon communication. Director recover situation after terrorist attack and promote new resort through communication but many problems and challenges has to face by director in effective communication with people. Like:- Linguistic problem:- It is a major barrier to effective communication because different region hasdifferent language. Manager of beacon beach hotel use communication to recover of situation as earlier after attack by terrorist. It also faces problem in promotion of resort because through communication it cannot attract to them due to this barrier. this thing create issue in share information about their new hotels and resort because language is the main tool of communication. Cultural barrier :- It also barrier to effective communication because different director of hotel chain of Sri Lanka has need to communicate with different people for promote of resort and attract to them. But it has need to interact with people according to their culture because different culture has various words and meanings. challenges to effective communication. strategies for overcome barriers. . Many strategies use by managers of beacon beach hotel for overcome and prevent barriers to effective communication because it recovers situation as earlier after terrorist attack.Strategies use by manager to promote their new resort so it use strategies like: - Use simple language: - Simple and common language use by manager for attract to people and recover situation of beacon beach hotels in Sri Lanka that means if it use simple language according to people of every region that they understand easily.So This strategy helps in communicate and share information effectively to promotion of resort. Simple organizational structure: -For effective communication as well as to overcome the barrier, director of hotel chain in Sri Lanka make simple structure of organization that means it do not make complex structure. Mangers make structure of organization with less Hierarchical level so it helps in flow of communication smoothly and promotion done effectively because people attract and situation easily recover. ◦

CONCLUSION From above study it has been summarized that business communication helps in understanding and sharing information of business effectively. Organization uses this process to motivate employees and promote business and effectively understand other concerns. For promoting products and services communication is important. This report concluded barriers to communication and strategies to overcome the barriers.
