INTRODUCTIONCommunication is defined as act of transferring data and information from oneperson to another in order to exchange ideas, views and opinions (What isCommunication, 2019). There are four types of communication such as written, visual,verbal and non-verbal which helps in communicating with each other. In this report,there is discussion about different types of non-verbal communication, their roles andaspects. It also cover relationship and affect between non-verbal communication andspeaking & listening skills.MAIN BODY1) Types of non-verbal communication with examplesNon-verbal communication is defined as those which occurs without use of anywritten or oral word. This relies on non-verbal cues such as tasks, symbols, charts,physical movements, colours, signals for expressing attitude, feeling and information(Nonverbal Communication: Definition, Types, Importance (Explained), 2017). Thedifferent types of non-verbal communication with examples are described below:EyeContact- This helps in regulating flow of communication through help ofeyes. Here, eye contact with gathering helps in increasing credibility of speakers. Forexample, manager of organisation doing eye contact during meeting helps in increasingconcern, credibility, warmth and interest. FacialExpression- It helps in showing index of mind which is importantcommunicator. This helps in expressing feelings or emotions like love, anger, confusion,joy, interest, sorrow, fear, hatred, uncertainty, surprise. For example, facial expressionare done through mouth (open, closed), nose (relaxed, wrinkled), eyelids (raised orlowered) and others. BodyLanguage- This helps in conveying message or meanings which has twoforms such as controlled and unconscious movements. For example, when an individualis nervous, they mash hair or bite nails. This represents confidence level of people infront of others.
