BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Business communication is termed as a procedure in which people
with organization exchange essential information with each other.
Effective business communication at organization allow them to
accomplish their roles and responsibilities in best effective manner that
further aid them to maximize their profitability at great extent.
Common challenges and barriers to communication
Communication act as most essential element of any organization
through which effective flow of information prevails in workplace. This
process is essential for all the form of entities irrespective of their type,
size and scope. However there are wide ranges of barriers of challenges
that act as communication barriers and further impact upon company
functioning:
Language Barriers:
Language and linguistic ability is termed as an ability of a person
that acts as a factor which create communication barrier. In this within
organizational workplace structure if two persons are known with different
languages then it may create obstacle in the transferring of information that
further effect there as well as company performance.
Physiological Barriers:
This area mainly arises due to physical state of receiver. For
example if receiver is having hearing impairment or is facing hearing issue
then there is possibility that message that sender is trying to convey get
affected. This lead towards breaking communication chain between both
involved parties and further lead towards the state of miss-information or
no information transferred at all.
Physical Barriers:
It has been evaluated that in short distance communication can
easily happen, while if there is the presence of physical barrier like,
geographic distance then it can act as communication barrier and further
effect transfer of information between receiver and sender. In this with the
assistance of modern technology physical barrier can be easily overcome.
However this issue cannot fully resolved, in this it is essential to undertake
utilization of efficient communication channel that can lower down
adverse impact of physical barriers.
Strategies for overcoming communication barrier
Active listening:
With the assistance of active listening strategies individual can
allow themselves to comprehend and acquire conveyed information or
message effectively. This strategy mainly emphasize upon active
concentration towards sender in order to understand what they are trying to
convey. In addition to this, this strategy also help in ensuring that there is

Using Simple Language:
It is one of the most effective strategy through which entity can
overcome communication barriers like language. In this sender by taking
use of simple language by avoiding abbreviation can effectively able to
transfer their information to receiver. It reduces the chance of miss-
interpretation.
Awareness of cultural influences on communication and negotiation
It has been evaluated that cultural act as most essential aspect which
is having significant influence on negotiation and communication process.
As every individuals have their own set of cultural values that can act as a
hindrance or further foster communication and negotiation process with
other person. Thus, it is essential to have proper understanding of receiver
cultural behavior before transferring any message, as there can be
possibility that culture make receiver unable to understand actual
message. In addition to this by displaying cultural sensitivity as to gain
positive feedback from receiver also facilitate efficient form of
communication and negotiation between sender and receiver.
CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned report this has been concluded that
communication is an essential element that allows transfer of message and
essential information between one people to other. With the help of
efficient process of communication and taking use of active listening,
sample language and provision of feedback barriers of communication can
be solve by assuring accomplishment of goals in effective manner.
