The structure of the assignment will be a reflective essay that will help me inanalyzing the importance and implications of the business communication processes indifferent kinds of organizations. In this assignment, I have to provide a proper brief on theimportance of the process of communication and their implications at the workplace. I haveto analyze the usage of the process of communication in such a manner that it will help me inunderstanding the required kind of behavior that is acceptable at workplace. DiscussionThe topics that have been chosen by me are intercultural communication as well asorganizational communication at my workplace. The intercultural communication is essentialin nature in my workplace as it will help me in overcoming the different kind of obstaclessuch as language barriers as well as stereotypes in the business. According to me,intercultural communication will help me in preventing different kind of misunderstandingsbetween different cultures while exchanging different information with them. Secondly, it will help me in fostering proper respect as communication takes placedifferently in different cultures. In my workplace, there are different co workers, who arefrom different cultures and due to gap in the process of communication process; there areconflicts that will arise in my workplace. The effective intercultural communication will helpme in ignoring the societal differences and this will help me in transmitting the informationmore clearly to the other fellow colleagues in the workplace. The interculturalcommunication will helped me in discouraging the discrimination as well as racism at myworkplace and this helped me in maintaining healthy communication with fellow colleaguesas well. For instanceIn my workplace, where I am presently working a new employee has recently joinedin the Human Resource Department where I am working as well as head recruiter. On thefirst day of joining, there was a huge miscommunication between the new joinee as well asanother employee of marketing department. The conflict happened between them as there was language barrier between theemployees. I understood the situation and this made me feel that I need to talk with the higherauthorities in order to take some charges against the employee of the marketing department asthe person had no right to abuse someone regarding the language. On that specific point oftime, I handled the situation by making the marketing department guy understand about theintercultural communication. I requested the employee of the organization as well to properlybehave with other employees who are from different cultures or backgrounds as well.
