This paper focus on the benefits of transition from old commercial business models to the
modern day e-commerce business model. It explain the benefits of the e-commerce and how
much potential it has to change the scenario of the retail sector in Australia. It is being claimed
that the transition is for the benefit of the business organization as well as the customers is
supported by articles and journals of some of the famous authors and professors of various
universities around the world.
There is a recent trend of transition from the traditional business model to the employee’s
commerce business model within the retail sector in Australia. Research papers also supported
that the transition from the traditional to the modern business model will actually benefit the
retail sector. The result of this research paper are supported with the help of various references
and will help to understand the topic in a better sense. According to the book of Laudon and
Traver (2016), it helps to provide knowledge about the global e-commerce spectrum. With the
help of financial and empirical data also using some of the relevant concepts it shows the
emergence of the e-commerce business model and how it is shaping the economic and social life
of the people not just in Australia but around the world. The works or assessment of these
authors and university professors works as evidence for the positive effect of e-commerce on
today’s business world. As per the article by de Regt and Barnes (2019) helps to explain the
emergence of virtual or e-commerce and the effects they have on the retail market of Australia.
