INTRODUCTION
Communication is simply states as an act of transferring information from one person to
to another or exchange of information between different place. Each communication aspect
involve sender, receiver and a message. In simple terms, transmission of message from the
sender to recipient by use of verbal or non-verbal methods is stated as a communication process.
It also include about emotion, culture situation and medium used for communicating at different
place. Good communication skill is considered to formulate desirable results by transferring
essential information in an organised manner. This report is based on Business United which is
private college situated in London. But due to current pandemic conditions change in learning
method also modify the communication system (Webb, Spina and Young, 2016). This report
highlights on general theories of organisational communication, evaluation of communication
barrier. In the last, company strategies to overcome from barrier will also included in this report.
MAIN BODY
General theories of organisation communication
Organisation communication refers to a field that has grown immensely with scope and
depth over the decades. Concomitant rise with corporation and it define about managerial ways
of communication that is used to manage work with-in a detailed manner. Some general theories
of communication are mention as follow:
Actor-network theory- The term actor-network theory suggest about human and non-
human both factors are equally influential for increase the success of technological
innovation. Scientific knowledge creation aids Business united to manage all work with
decided network and it refer that network theory are formed to gain success. This define
that person or thing generate results through which work is done in advanced manner. It
define that both network and actor generate effective communication channel to achieve
desired outcomes.
Adaptive structuration theory- Organisation and group generate rules that is defined
with proper structures (Jiang and et. al., 2019). All structures formulate social system that
aids to formulate a life of a transparent communication channel for performing work with
decided methods. In the context of Business United, it is understand that with
formulation of adaptive structuration theory management improve decision-making by
