INTRODUCTION
The present study s based on the promotion of the beach resort in Sri
Lanka and the report will, helps to understand regarding the different
barriers to communication which affects the entire communication
process. The strategies adopt by business in order to eliminate the barriers
which will also be explained in the report in addition with the awareness
regarding culture influencing communication.
LO 2
There are different type of common challenges and the barriers to the
effective communication through which message is not able to receive to
the receiver and get interrupted which might cause wrong interpretation of
what actually conveyed. due to this it is necessary for the communicator
or sender to seeks for the feedback in order to check W ether message is
efficiently and effectively conveyed. common barriers to effective
communication:
Language barriers
language is the most common tool for the communication purpose.
People from different regions having understanding in different language
and this might affect the communication process.
psychological barriers:
These are the barriers which is to be found in the different person
itself . These many be the stage fear, illness, phobia, depression, speech
disorder, etc. which costs as a barrier in communication .
physical barriers:
These are the barriers which includes poor and outdate equipments
and tool used communication process and acts a a barrier in transferring
and communicating the in formation from sender to receiver. This
includes poor lighting, background noise, unclear screen of projectors, etc.
LO 3
There are different strategies available which can be used to avoid and
eliminate the barriers of communication and some of them are :
awareness about the cultural differences:
Business need to aware about all the cultures to which the communication
is being made and according to the different culture of the people,
common language needs to deicide for communicating in order to make
them understand effectively and efficiently..
Staying open for the questions dan answers
this strategy helps the employees and workers of the organisation to feel
satisfied and motivated as to communicate effectively it is required by the
authority to open minded for willing to ask and answer the questions
which creating problem to people. This will help in resolving their issues
and make the vision of understanding.
LO 6
This is considered to be the effect of changes which is reflected in
communication behaviour of the people Cultural background plays
essential role in shaping and changing the style of the communication.
Cultural factors generally includes language, morality, perspective,
belief systems, language barriers, customs, etc.
Culture is responsible fr directly affecting the business
communication in both verbal and non verbal form. Cultural diversity
affects the mindset of the people as different people with different
cultures having difference of their language, beliefs, viewpoints and
thinking.
As different culture might have different meaning of the words,
symbols, gestures and behaviours. Thus, this directly influence the
communication and business needs to analyse the culture efficiently so
that awareness can be made and communication should also done
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that there are different form of
communication which might get affected by communication barriers
which includes barrier to language, physical barriers, psychological
barriers, systematic barriers and many which disrupt the entire
communication process. The strategies which might help the sender in
order to eliminate these barriers are also explained in the above report
which includes awareness regarding culture, open minded,etc.
