INTRODUCTION
Business communication is considered as the procedures of sharing ideas within individuals
either outside or inside firms. In general terms, this is regarded as the way where the staff of
entity interacts with one another for attaining their vision and objectives (Bovée, Thill and Raina,
2016). The aim of this report is to determine some communication barriers that occurs due to
COVID-19 in clothing retail shops. This report is based on Something for Everyone (SFE) which
is a well known clothing chain firm. The topics which are going to be covered in this report are
challenges and barriers to effective communication, tactics for overcoming from communication
barriers and cultural influences on communication.

Due to COVID-19 retail has changed as well as this modifies the consumers shopping
habits and also shut down various clothing retail shops. So, as being the manager of well known
clothing chain called Something for Everyone (SFE). Moreover, because of this their sales are
not much high as they desires as well as update their websites to motivates clients to spend much
of their money upon its items. Communication barriers are anything which prevents us from
receiving as well as acknowledging the messages that others utilised for conveying its
information, thoughts and ideas (Chaudhri, 2016). Moreover, they may interfere with or block
message it are trying to give. In addition to this, it could be physical, emotional and others. So,
some of the communication barriers that Something For Everyone (SFE) faces are discussed
below:
Social distancing and physical barriers: As present times, due to COVID-19 various firms
including Something For Everyone (SFE) depends upon digital means of communications
because of social distancing as well as remote ways off working. So, these physical barriers are
much evident into firm with blue collar staff without positioned work space (Kalogiannidis,
2020). In respect of Clothing firm like SFE, consumer are not able to try their desires clothes as
well as due to which they Aare not much sure about the size it would have to order online.
