UKCBC College Project Feasibility Study

This assignment investigates the potential success of an investment project at UKCBC college. It utilizes data from student surveys to assess their satisfaction with teaching facilities, e-learning systems, and overall learning experience. Financial analysis employing Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) methods demonstrates the project's profitability, recommending its implementation to the college management.

INTRODUCTION
Each and every business entity concerns towards making effective as well as fruitful
decision within working environment. The reason is that, effective business decisions supports it
in becoming more beneficial in terms of financial and others. Present study is based on UKCBC
college which is operating in UK and provide educational facility to the students. Aim of the
current research is to analyse level of satisfaction as well as experience of the students from the
education provided by the college. In this study, information are gathered with the help of
questionnaire and statistical tools are applied on the data set. Apart from this, with the help of
thematic analysis data are represented and conclusion is derived that up to what extent students
of UKCBC college are satisfied with the education system of it. At the end of project, network
diagram, information processing tools and methods as well as calculation of investment appraisal
techniques are explained properly. Further, recommendations to the respective college is given
for undertaking project within workplace.
TASK 1
1.1 Create a plan in order to collect information from students of UKCB college
As per the given scenario of experience and satisfaction of UKCBC students, So that they
need the primary and secondary data for effective decision.
Primary Data- In which data are collected in first time in the research. Primary data are
collected by making effective survey mean that a questionnaire, calls etc. This methods is very
useful to UKCB, so that by using such methods for collecting the primary data; it provides
enough information about there student satisfaction (Suttorp and et.al., 2015). Data is collected
by filling the questionnaire or sending the questionnaire to the students. In these methods,
questions are prepared and send to the student in the form of email or by getting the feedback
using of social sites.
Secondary data- Secondary data are those data which are already collected but by
making some alternation collected information are used in the form of secondary data. In this all
the information and data are collected by using books, journals, internet sources etc. So that this
method is refers as cost effective method for UKCB. In another. But this method requires lots of
time to take an effective collection process (Bantug and et.al., 2016).

Duration of survey:- The survey will be completed in 17 days duration.
Location of campuses:- Wentworth House- main campus(East London), Cricklewood
campus (North West London), Lords House campus (East London), Holborn campus (Central
London). They all are campus their conduct research on students about their experience and
satisfaction.
In order to conducting the overall research and making proper conclusion there are
several numbers of resources are highly required by the manager. Very basic resources which are
needed for the proper research are like human, financial and stationary etc (Danforth and et.al.,
2016).

1.2 Presenting survey methodology as well as sampling method used in the project
Sampling is a process used in statistical analysis in which a predetermined number of
observation are taken from a larger population. The methodology used to find-out the sample
from a larger population depends on the to type of analysis being performed in the research, but
may include simple sampling or systematic sampling.

The researcher can understand the students' experience and satisfaction about UKCBC, in
this way they need to conduct a survey. While conducting the survey primary data collection
techniques are used so that by the rehearser can understand different type of point view. While
using the sampling techniques for collecting the information the sampling styles of such as
random sampling (Barrick and et.al., 2015). By taking a sampling techniques an information is
taken as sample and tested or examined by putting them into the sample group so that as per the
sample judgement can be made. In this research report, data or informations are collected for the
student satisfaction and there experience. Moreover, at the present study total 20 students are
taken as a sample among whom the questionnaire are distributed and responses are gathered
properly. So that the UKCBC can identify their choice and preferences.
In this research primary and secondary data both are used, in primary data the researcher
use questioner method because with this can have a close contact with the students of UKCBC.
which will be help the researcher in getting different factors of integration of their experience
and satisfaction. Questioners are also used for collecting information in different campuses of
UKCBC so it is easy to get data (Yan and et.al., 2015).
In Secondary data scholar will use books, journal article, and websites describing the
basic concept about the students experience and satisfaction.

In order to analyse the experience as well as level of satisfaction,n data are required as a
raw material and on the basis of that effective analysis can be done. In the current study, data
collected from the students who are taking education from the college of UKCBC. The question
which is taken out at the current study is regards to the teaching facilities. The reason is that, if
such services and facilities of the college will higher, then satisfaction level of customers can be
measure and evaluate in proper manner (Cashmore and et.al., 2010). Moreover, data which are
taken are structured in the ungrouped form which are given as below:

The above mentioned data are taken out from the total 20 students which are taken as a
sample size to carry out the research in effectual manner. In this, rank is given on the college
facility like teaching offered by the lecturers or tutors. Rank is given out of 100 by different 20
pupils who are studied in the UKCBC college. On the basis of data collected from such students'
analysis is done with the help of applying statistical tools and techniques. Further, explanation
and analysis of the outcome is given as below:
Interpretation and analysis Mean: The tool of statistical in which average if the overall available data set is
generated is known as mean value. It helps to the analyst in order to summarise
information and on the basis of that effective conclusion is to be drawn (Chow and
Teicher, 2012). At the present scenario, outcome of mean determined is 70.25 which is
the rank given by UKCBC's students. It can be analysed that, company gives better
teaching facility to the students and due to which rank is given at 70.25th out of 100.
Moreover, experience of the pupils along with satisfaction is also better which is sign of
having high rank. Median: On the basis of the tool like median, the overall gathered information break
down into total 2 parts which are equal. At the time of very huge and more number of
data then scholar cannot analyse them which lead to impact on analysis. In order to
resolving this respective condition, the median is the most supportive by which data
become short and summarise accurately. From the present data set of ranking it can be
assessed that, middle value is 73.5 which shows that UKCBC provides better teaching
services.
 Mode: Statistical tool which shows that particular data and value which often arise in the
gathered data set is called as mode value. The mentioned technique is helpful for the
researcher of UKCBC in terms of determine frequently occur rank in the collected
information. From the higher number of huge data it is not possible to look at every value
and derive repeated (Gaile and Willmott, 2013). For reducing and making solution of this
kind of obstacles, mode tool is one of the most supportive and easy. In the current
information, 81st rank is repeated which is often given by the students on the teaching

facilities. By assessing this particular rank, it can be said that, UKCBC college provides
attractive services to its pupils in terms of teaching.
2.3 Calculation of range as well as standard deviation
Apart from the above stated SPSS techniques, there is range and standard deviation are
also supportive in order to analyse the information collected and make effective business
decisions. By such providing tools, management of UKCBC able to know difference of the
highest and lowest value of data set. Further, computation of the range and SD values are along

which are like the highest and the lowest is known as range. If value is comes at the

facilities is measured where value derives is 68th. The highest value from the overall data
set determined is like 93 and lowest is 25. Further, range of the college is 68th which is
better and indicates that its teaching facilities are attractive.
 Standard deviation: From the respective tool distance between standard and average
value is determined which shows business performance and helpful to take adequate
decisions. Rank of teaching facilities assessed under the SD method is 18.04th which is
highly lower in comparison to mean value. Hence, it can be said that, performance of
college is the fruitful and effective in terms of provide education and teaching.

Interpretation and analysis Quartile: The tool under which data set is broken in equally four portions and then
analysis as well as conclusion is made by the scholar is identified as quartile. Further,

Findings and Analysis
From the above data and chart it can be found that, majority number of students giving
rank on the teaching services are above 60-65. Such data taken out by taking response from total
20 students of the UKCBC college where it can be assessed that, only 2 pupils give rank at 40th
and 43rd out of 100. Apart from this, major number of students like 14 give rank between 60 to
90 which reflects positive response from the pupils. It can be said by this kind of data and ranks
that, UKCBC able to give effectual and attractive kind of teaching facilities to its students. If
management of the college improves and make modification in existing teaching methods then
able to attract more pupils.

Findings and Analysis
The present theme discussing about the satisfaction level of pupils of UKCBC college
from the quality of education and learning materials. Higher the respective extent is effective and
profitable for the college because it creates positive image in the students. It can be found from
the graph that 11 respondents are highly satisfied from the standard of learning notes among total
20. In addition to this, 6 people are those who at the moderate or neutral conditions. From this, it
can be said that 6 students are neither satisfy not dissatisfy by the materials offered by college to
learn something or get education. Further, only 3 between 20 sample students are not satisfied
with the learning materials and these are those pupils who give rank nearby 25th and 40th.

Findings and Analysis
It can be observed from the aforementioned charts that, 9 students from total 20 strongly
agree by the E-learning teaching system given by the UKCBC college. When looking at the
response of only agree level then there are 5 pupils provide answer about the education system
adopted and offered by the cited college. Furthermore, only 3 students are at the neutral level
because of not taking interest in order to learn new within class. 2 and 1 respondent are those
who disagree and highly disagree respectively from the E-learning system of giving education to
UKCBC's students. The college needs to improve such kind of services which supports to it in
terms of shifting all the students towards strongly agree level.
3.2 Creating the trend line for forecasting values
The line which is helpful for the business and analyst in terms of assessing future values
of forecasting the data set is called as trend line. When it goes in the upward trend then it can be
forecasted that in the future years, data will be increase on consistent basis. On the other hand
side, due to having downward trend line the values will decrease in the upcoming times (Nandi,
2013). Moreover, when trend line is of the constant nature then it can be said that, company will
perform equal in the next financial years. For the ranking position given by students on the
teaching facilities of UKCBC college trend line is prepared as below:

It can be observed from the above stated trend line that, all the 20 students are giving
same rank to the facility of teaching offered by the college like UKCBC. Majority of students are
giving higher rank and only 3-4 are students are those who provide rank lesser than 50. Among

total 20 respondents, three give above or more than 90 rank out of 100 which shows that teaching
facility of the college is highly better and fruitful for them. Moreover, constant trend line reflects
that college having better facility which is at the 70th rank. On the basis of this, it can be
estimated that in the upcoming years the students will give approximate 70th rank on its teaching
services out of 100.

The current study is analysed on the basis of UKCBC college where experience and satisfaction
level of its students are researched. Apart from this, up to which level pupils of the college are
satisfied with the teaching facilities and learning material's qualities explained in the study. At
the end of recommendation are given to the management of college for improving its services
education system.
Main Body
In the UKCBC college, there are several numbers of students taking education of different
streams in proper ways. Further, from them ranking are taken which is supportive to make
analysis of teaching facilities offered by the cited institute. It can be analysed that, majority
number of pupils give rank between 60th to 90th out of total 100 which is reflection of positive
and better performance in the education industry of UK. Very few respondents give rank less
than 40th due to facing some issues and problems by the college. When looking at the E-learning
education system then it can be said that, most of the students strongly agree with this
respective method of teaching. Furthermore, higher the pupils are highly satisfied with the
quality of those materials which are offered by UKCBC college in order to learn. Moreover, the

level of satisfaction and experience is better and effectual of the students of cited education
institute.
Conclusion and recommendation
It can be concluded from the current report that, majority of the students are agreed by all the
services, facilities and education system provided to the pupils by UKCBC college. It can be
said that, college having better performance in the industry of eduction within UK. It can be
suggested to management that, they should improve the facilities and teaching methods with the
highest quality which lead to increase satisfaction of the pupils.

4.1 Information processing tools in order to take business decisions at different level
 Strategic level: In the entity, at this level top managers and executive officers are
included who take business judgements with the help of Decision support system (DSS)
at the working environment (Spiranovic and et.al., 2016). This respective tool is helpful
for the CEO, CFO etc. of the firm by which complex and typical business conditions can
be resolve in proper manner.
 Operational level: At this level, lower employees come into consideration where day-to-
day judgements are required to take effectively. Here employees, workers and lower level
of managers are included who use the Transaction processing system (TPS). Moreover,
by this, problems of daily basis are resolve and financial transactions of day-to-day are
also recorded in the books of account.
 Tactical level: Apart from the above, within working environment tactical level is also
there at which middle level of employees are included which are like senior managers,
SBUs etc (Dayani and Gelbard, 2015). They use Management information system (MIS)
in order to make decisions because it provides management oriented reports along with
facts and figures to the senior managers.

4.3 Computation and evaluation of investment appraisal tools
In the company, several numbers of projects comes into consideration within workplace
and among them it has to take decision for undertaking specific project. In order to make

effective decision, investment appraisal or capital budgeting techniques are taken into account by
the manager. It supports to analyse all the available projects along with viability of them which
help to make proper decision. Further, it involves different tools like NPV, IRR, ARR etc
(Lakew and Rao, 2015). Basic importance of the tools is to assess project viability or feasibility
which lead to select best investment alternative. Calculation of NPV and IRR along with analysis

From the above table, it can be analysed that, present value of the project is worth of
22709 GBP and after deducting the initial amount of investment, profit remains worth of 7709
GBP which is beneficial for the college. It can be said that behind investing 15000 GBP up to 4
years the college is able to generate 7709 GBP, as net present value which supports to generate
effective returns. Hence, it can be said that, it seems feasible and fruitful for the college and
management needs to make investment in this particular project (Net present value, 2013).

Aforementioned table shows that, behind making investment of 15000 GBP for 4 years in
a project, how much internal rate of return it will generate. The current investment provides
34.77% IRR, which means that project is profitable for UKCBC college. Higher the level of
IRR, better it is for entity and if such value is lower, then not good for its health ( Internal rate of
return, 2015). On the basis of 34.77% value it can be suggested to the college that, it should
undertake this project within working environment.
CONCLUSION
From the current report it can be summarised that, effective and fruitful business
decisions when taken by management then it able to perform well in the industry. In the current
study, primary data and information are collected with the help of questionnaire from the
students of UKCBC college. Major number of pupils give rank higher than 60th and 70th which
shows that selected educational institute has higher and attractive teaching facilities. Further, E-
learning system, quality of learning notes and other college facilities or services are also
effective of the UKCBC. Hence, it can be said that experience and satisfaction both are at the
higher level of students. Through investment appraisal it can be advised to the management of
UKCBC that, it should undertake project due to having positive and profitable NPV and IRR
values.
