INTRODUCTION
Business decision making is associated with core function of corporation under which
management discuss upon major aspect like expansion, growth and success of business. It
consists of board areas such as production, marketing, sales of company. Present report is based
on Present report is based on case study of UK College of Business and Computing (UKCBC)
that offers great learning experience to students and provide them quality services in term of
good teaching style. The basic aim of the corporation is to enhance satisfaction level of all
associated parties by taking into account feedback provided by them. The report is completed on
the basis of collection of primary and secondary data for assessing satisfaction of students.
Furthermore, investment appraisal techniques and project management tools are applied for
saving cost and time involve in the execution of project. In addition to this, statistical techniques
such as standard deviation, mode and mean are calculate to draw valid outcome.
TASK 1
1.1 Creating a plan for the collection of primary and secondary data into student experience and
perception about UKCBC
The data collection plan for assessing experience and perception of students of UKCBC
is presented as follow. Under this, current study important information will be incorporated
related to methodologies. It assists researcher to reach at the aim of the study in an effectual
manner. Primary data-Primary data are very important for any study because here researcher at
first focuses upon collecting data first hand for specific purpose of study. Sources like
interview, questionnaire and observation as well and online survey are utilized (Albright
and Winston. 2014). The selection of tool is based upon time and cost available resource
along with its specific purpose. The current investigation on gathering information to
collecting information related to experience and perception of students of UKCBS,
primary data are collected. According to this questionnaire method has been applied so
that study can be completed in relatively less time span. Here, questionnaire will consists
of number of questionnaire related to research topic where respondents will be given
multiple choice. It will be effective researcher to get in-depth knowledge regarding the

study. It proves to be effective to reach at the aim of the research and accordingly draw
valid outcome (Black, 2011). Secondary data-This is another kind of data under which research access number of
sources for collection of information. Here, researcher access sources like journals, books
and online articles which aid to research at the aim of the study in an effectual manner.
Here, the current study on assessing experienced of students of UKCBC applied online
article and journals as well as book (Robert, 2010). This will be effective for gathering
large amount of information and accordingly scholar will get to know regarding general
scenario. However, the main reason behind selecting these different sources that scholar
want to ensure ethical aspect while collecting detail information with regard to study. Scope and duration-The scope of current report study is very high because it will be
effective to enhance knowledge of different parties. Here, different issues which are
being faced by researcher related to satisfaction of students will be resolved.
Furthermore, approximate 4-5 months will be required to complete the entire study by
taking into account all process and techniques (Kimmel, Weygandt and Kieso, 2010).
The time limit is higher because primary data collection procedure consumes relatively
extensive time. Resources used and location-Important sources for all research activities like money,
technologies and human resources are required to complete a report. For example,
stationary like pencil, pen and others are mandatory for the purpose of collection of
primary data (Bazerman and Moore, 2012). Moreover, use of technologies like internet
and other sources are required to invest money so that accordingly valid outcome can be
drawn in relatively time. Furthermore, involvement of expert personnel is the basic
requirement where monetary resources will be applied and the location selected for
project is London. Sample size and target-Sampling represent individual unit of population which provide
ease to entire research study. Here, sample size is kept 50 and simple random sampling as
effective techniques will be applied for collection of data (Britten and et.al, 2014). The
selected sample design is effective for meeting research aim and objectives because it

1.2 Presenting the survey methodology and sampling frame used for the survey into student
experience and perception about UKCBC
Survey methodology refers systematic procedure for collection of information by
approach targeted population. The research to assess experience and perception of students
online survey methodology will be used. This will be effective to get the questionnaire filled
from respondents and save overall time taken in data collection procedure (Bryman and Bell,
2015). The main reason behind selecting such kind of survey methodology is to provide ease to
respondents through which research aim and objectives can be accomplished on right time.
However, sampling frame is the process of selecting the respondents from available population
in order to meet specific purpose of the research (Davies and Hughes, 2014). Owing to this,
major two types of sampling methods are available such as probabilistic and non-probabilistic
where selection of research is based upon nature of report.
The current investigation uses simple random sampling to approach students who are
accessing services which are being offered by UKCBC (Fowler Jr, 2013). It proves to be
effective for removing biased approach in the research process of current study. Furthermore,
selected sampling frame is effective for providing valid as well as reliable information.

According to the collected information, it has been found that UKCBC College provides
good facilities in college which tends to increase motivation level of students. However, lecture
rooms are cleaned properly for meeting expectation of students and provide them good
environment. Further, students find it easy to understand the all the lectures and accordingly they
ensure good career growth. Similarly, induction program, IT facilities and other related aspect
are good and students are satisfied for the same. However, some of the participants face issue in
getting IT facilities and other related aspect where college should put efforts to bring perfection.
Moreover, people who are studying in the college are happy and enjoying. Proper guidance and
support of the lecturers enable students to get best education facilities to ensure bright career
path. Helpful nature of lectures provides huge assistance to UKCBC students to enhance their

skills and knowledge level. As a result, students are enjoying learning different things and
reaching perfection by getting knowledge through experienced and qualified academic staff and
tutors.

The following mentioned information is showing that standard deviation in the data series
of induction program is 11.71 which is higher for the respective population. At the same time,
14.14 is the standard deviation contracted people. Apart from this, standard deviation related to
cleaning is the highest for the population. It shows that, collected information can be deviated
from the mean by 35.35. Owing to this, standard deviation is taken into account for drawing
valid conclusion and reaching at the aim of the study in an effectual manner.

Above computed quartiles are of huge importance for UKCBC as it helps university to
analyze and evaluate satisfaction level of the students from the education facilities offered by the
lecturers. With the help of this, university can divide their total students into three groups, out of
these, lower quartile represents 25% of the population, middle quartile represents 50% and upper
quartile represents 75% of the overall responses. Through this, in-depth analysis can be done
about the effectiveness of education services that are rendering by UKCBC.

The information collected from sources bring forth outcome that 20% respondents are
associated with HND in business whereas only two students are involved in HND in business
accounting. However, 3 respondents stated that they are enrolled in HND in computing and
system whereas remaining 25 are enrolled in HND in travel and tourism.

The collected information reflects that 30 participants stated that enrolled process in
UKCBC is very easy but for remaining 20 stated that it is very difficult process. However,
majority of participants found that process of enrollment is very easy.

The above mentioned diagram shows that 30 respondents found that induction program
of UKCBC was very helpful where 12 participants stated that it proves to be informative.
However, remaining 8 respondents reflected that inductive provided by UKCBC is neither

The collected information bring forth outcome that 45 participants stated that it is very
easy to obtain reading material from library of UKCBC. This is because library remain open and
where they can easily access enough material for their study purpose. On the other hand, 5
participants does not find it easy to get enough study material because of limited opening time of

The information collected from primary sources shows that 29 students stated that there
are plenty of computers available in the college. It aids each student the access the same and
complete the important projects effectively. Furthermore, 21 respondents stated that there are not
enough computers and they face issues in accessing one for each.

The aforementioned graph reflects that HNB business has higher growth because during
initial year there were only 70 students and in 2013 it increased to 270. Further, during 2014
number of students increased to 600 whereas for HND TTM it was only 500 in the same year.
Furthermore, HND CSD reflects that number of students in 2013 were 200 whereas in 2012 only
10 students were there. It facilitates college to conduct marketing activities through which total
number of students can be increased. Apart from this, performance of HNC business shows that

number of students are kept on increase. Owing to this, selected particular department can offer
good quality of services in accordance with preferences of students.
The aforementioned diagram represents trend line based upon collected information of all
stream which are there in UKCBC College. According to this, it can be seen that trend line of
HND business shows upward trend whereas for HND TTM it is also upward but the pace of
growth is quite slow. In addition to this, other stream are going in downward trend which reflects
that performance of college is not good for that particular stream. However, trend line of
corporation shows that business can be focused to increase overall rate of return (Hahs-Vaughn
and Lomax, 2013). It facilitates to increase number of buyers. Apart from this, college can easily
create its image in the marketplace by focusing upon existing facilities and procedures.

student. It will be helpful for management of UKCBC to draw valid outcome and provide valid
suggestions.
Methodology: The methodologies included in the current investigation include both qualitative
and quantitative aspect. Here, primary and secondary information have been collected through
which appropriate results can be drawn in order to reach at the aim of the study (Upton and
et.al, 2015). Apart from this questionnaire method has been selected in order to interact with
selected participants. Moreover, simple random sampling is selected to approach buyers or
targeted population. In addition to this, mode, mean and median are applied from extracting
information from collected data and in the same direction results are drawn.
Limitation: Research limitations always remain present in the study due to time and cost
aspect. All research activities generally require extensive time for collecting information and
analysing data and arranging the entire thing in desired manner (Jacob and et. al., 2015).
However, cost constraint is the main barriers in study because researcher will incur expenses at
the time of data collection procedure. Though, for resolving such kind of issues time and cost
effective aspects are applied which proves to be effective in completing the study in relatively
time span.
Findings: The information collected and analysed from primary and secondary data show that

students of UKCBC are satisfied. It is because staff working in the college offer good quality of
services by meeting expectations of students. It proves to be effective for increasing overall rate
of return and creating brand image of the firm in the marketplace. Furthermore, students are
satisfied with extra facilities offered by college so that accordingly they can enhance their
qualification level and everything (Zikmund and et.al, 2012). Furthermore, it has also been
observed that students from field of HND Business are increasing at the rapid speed so that
same can be focused for increasing growth of college.
Summary and recommendation: The collected data it can be recommended college can focus
upon improving teaching style in order to give higher level of satisfaction among students. It
facilitates them to take timely feedback from them and take corrective action in the firm
(Berenson and et. al., 2012). On the other hand, management of college can take reviews from
class teachers or professors who are directly dealing with personnel. It proves to be effective for
their growth and development.

4.1 Using the new ‘SITS: Vision’ tool explain its support information processing at operational,
tactical and strategic levels
The given scenario shows that management of UKCBC is planning to implement the new
system at workplace “SITS: Vision”. The main reason behind implementing the system is its
integration with number of supporting applications like finance system, human resource systems
and virtual-learning environments. Along with that, library and estates management are also
integrated in the same (Brandimarte, 2012). It will be helpful in taking operational, tactical and
strategic level decision for UKCBC. This is because new system make it possible to pass
information and coordinate among all department of college. By using this type of tool
management can easily pass on important information to students in less time and overall time
take to disseminate data will be reduced (How to Make Effective Business Decisions, 2016). In
this manner, strategic decision can be taken by using with the help of collected information.
Similarly, operational decision are taken on the basis of gathered detail such as automated kind
of system whereby teachers or management of college can directly meet the documentation

requirement of students (Clemen and Reilly, 2013). Apart from this, students administration
processes will be established which proves to be effective for resolving all potential issues which
are being faced by population.
On the other hand, course information is also transferred in very convenient manner after
implementation of new processes (Cohen and et. al., 2013). This tend to deliver good quality of
information to large number of buyers. This tend to cater need of overall college and increasing
population for each stream. Therefore, tactical level decision can also be taken effectively
without affecting productivity as time taken in documentation and other related task will be
reduced to the significant level.
4.2 Using the activity table given above for the project, determine the critical path for the project
Project management refers to the process of managing the internal work practices with
the help of renovation, reschedule and other related aspect. The basic motive behind the same is
to reduce production cost and maintain the higher rate of return as well as increased productivity.
It consists of network diagram, critical path and activity table. The network diagram reflects that
what different activities will be covered and when different activity will initiate. Moreover,
critical path is also explained under which total time taken for a project will be assessed. This
will be helpful for corporation to meet organization objectives in relatively less time span so as
to achieve long as well as short term objectives of UKCBC.

instance, as per the diagram, activity 1 which is creating schedule will be start on 18th October

these activities, total slack or float is zero means one day delay in any of these activities will
definitely delay the whole project by one day and so on. Therefore, it is clear that UKCBC must
