INTRODUCTION
Business environment is amalgamation of various micro and macro factor that have direct
or indirect bearing on functioning of an organisation. These factors constitute of customers,
competitors, government, individuals, media, technology and multiple other attributes that may
or not may not fully managed by a firm. However, for an organisation to attain sustainability,
growth, profitability and performance, it becomes critically important to adapt itself to the
environment in which it is operating. The report is based on Cadbury which is a British
multinational confectionery company in UK. The project will discuss various size and scope of
firms along with discussing about interrelation of various functions with an organisation. Further,
PESTLE analysis will be undertaken that will reveal the negative/positive impact of macro
factors on business. Lastly, SWOT analysis will be conducted to explain relation of external
internal factors (Aithal, 2016).

organisational objectives
Cadbury is second largest confectionery brand in the world i.e. having a wide range of
products that its offers to more than 20 million people in around 60 nations across world. Thus,
to maintain its market position and brand reputation, it is requisite for Cadbury to be innovative
and bring necessary change in its products in accordance to market dynamics. Therefore to attain
this objective, it is of vital importance for the firm to maintain coordination and work
cooperation among all its departments. Cad-bury has divisional organisational structure which
helps to distribute among different departments in proper manner. It will assist company to
manage efficacy in all its business operations by making its workforce to work autonomously
towards attaining overall targets without encountering any role or goal conflicts. Below, the
interrelation of several business unit of Cadbury is mentioned:

Human resource and marketing department: The major areas of concern for human
resource department is to recruit, train and manage most proficient workforce in an organization
(Avramenko, 2012). Cadbury being a customer oriented with objective to become world's best
confectionery brand requires to have most competitive workforce that is highly proficient in
providing creative and innovative ideas and in dealing with customers, investors and other
stakeholders. Thus, marketing unit of Cadbury works in close coordination with HR unit through
providing them clear job description. This helps HR managers to recruit and select most
proficient candidate having right qualification, interpersonal and communication skills that is
requisite while dealing with consumers to provide them viable solutions, persuading various
investors to invest in a particular project and so on. As cad- bury has divisional organisational
structure, so this helps in HR departments to deal with market head of various departments in
order to know profile or skill of new personnel.
Finance and Research department: In order to be maintain its lead and to achieve to its
objective to be the best and most loved brand, it is highly essential for Cadbury to not only cater
the demands of its consumers but to be ahead in tapping their captured aspirations. Therefore
R&D department of Cadbury plays a critical role in attain firm's aims as it provides a detailed
