INTRODUCTIONDatabase management system is a type of software that help for creating and managingthe data in appropriate manner. It provide the users and programmers with systematic way todevelop, retrieve, manage and update etc. database management system makes it possible for endusers to handle the task in proper manner. This report will discuss about the city college thatshould develop database system to manage all the details of library management system. Thisassignment will describe the concept of universal design to web pages and also understand foroperates an effective information system to meet the significant enterprise needs. This report willdiscuss about the database system to create different tables and establish relationship betweenthem. In this report website screenshots of library management system has been attached, all theSQL commands that are used to to create tables and insert vales in the tables have also beenattached, with data dictionary of the database ( Shih, Hwang and Chu, 2018 ). In this reportnavigation forms are also attached which helps the users to easily access any web page in detail.TASK 1knowledge and understanding the role of information system strategy in organisation and itsintegration with overall corporate strategy.Information system is basically set of components that work together to manage and control thedata processing in appropriate manner. Information system strategy is an essential features in thecorporate or information which help the city college to allocate, store and process data wherethey can develop or receive. A strategic information system is developed to respond thecorporate world and many other enterprise initiatives. They also used for giving the higheradvantage in education sector (Avison and Fitzgerald, 2018). Information system strategy isnecessary feature in the corporate world which enables and use the different tools in theirinformation repositories function. It allows them to recognise the resourceful opportunities forthe expansion and ways to enhance the operations. Here, a library management system has beenmade will help the staff and members of the city college to access the library managementsystem in order to either insert or extract any information related to the library I.e. Whether it isfor insertion of book or author details or it is for extraction of publishers or members details etc. Role of information system strategyThere are some specific role of information system where it establish a connectionbetween the demand of firms and latest information technology (Avison and Fitzgerald, 2018). It
also helping the business to get hold the market by utilising the information to meet itschallenging requirement. Information system plays a vital role in any organization in variousways such as: It is the most critical aspect of enterprise for the organization expansion and growth whileintegration of data system and its functions can be handled by easily. Information systems most of the time helps the organization in being strategic. It helpsthe organization in making most of their tasks easier to be done (Williment 2019). It also helps the organization to remain aware of the resources available within theirorganizationit also gives the organization a clear ideal of who can access their system, who are theusers of the system, how much access all the users have on the system. It also helps in identifying the relationship between organization, system and the users ofthe system (Shih,Hwangand 2018). It supports the organization at different levels of the business and also supports them atdifferent level of the society. It also provide sustainability to the organization and competitive advantage. At management level it helps the organization in monitoring, controlling administrativeactivities of middle manager.At strategic level it helps in addressing strategic issues and long term trends of theorganization.At knowledge level it helps in designing attractive Boucher of the organization ( Shih,Hwang and Chu, 2018 ).
Information system integrated with enterprise strategies:The integration strategies are the applicable to cross management and members, reducethe ineffective communication and cut the supplier costs. It is required for business process toanalyse the organization operations where manager can think in different ways to integrate withprocesses to save both time and money (ChanLin and Hung, 2016). It helps to the streamline inthe operations and also reduce the overhead as well as personnel costs. Information system isintegrated with the business strategies because they can identify the need and requirement ofcompany to increase their productivity or profitability in marketplace.Analyse the case study and apply the concept of universal design to web pages. As per the case study, it has developed a dynamic website of library management systemfor managing and controlling all the operations in proper manner. Modern technology issignificantly boost the company performance and productivity (Eastman, 2018). Online librarymanagement system useful for the city college to provide the best facilities and services. As perscenario, it is designed an effective or dynamic website of library management to handle andmanage all the enterprise details or store in the system. It can be used the weebly free platformfor the purpose to create a website of city college library management system. It is designed insuch a way that users can extract or insert information related to books, authors, publishers ormembers ( Shih, Hwang and Chu, 2018 ).
