INTRODUCTION
Business planning is considered as the most effective and new formal statement that
involves a unique concept, objectives and ideas for development of business plan (Laudon and
Laudon, 2011). It is also considered as a process which is used by entrepreneurs or individuals to
develop an appropriate business plan through they will be able to achieve their objectives.
Present report is based on new and unique business plan of establishing a multi cuisine restaurant
in Birmingham which is situated in the UK. Various aspects related to development and
implementation of new business plan is also discussed in this report. Apart from this, the four
main objectives behind this creation of business plan are discussed.
TASK 1: PART A
Rationale for business idea
A unique and innovative business idea of establishing a multi cuisine restaurant to be
started in Birmingham, as United Kingdom country. It is considered to be effective as venturing
in underdeveloped country with foreign direct investment plays a crucial role in economy and
having potential markets of nearby university campus (Peteraf, Gamble and Thompson 2014). It
is also considered as an effective business idea for young and dynamic individuals. It is a unique
business idea as there is no such type of multi cuisine restaurant in Birmingham. This restaurant
business offers a range of services to a culturally diversified base of customers. In this context,
by being a multi cuisine restaurant, it will be able to influence the customers with diversified
culture foods and also, attract people with different age groups.
It will be a new restaurant that is based on unique concept and themes of cultural heritage
of Birmingham. These business idea of opening a multi cuisine restaurant has crept in by
analysing the cultural beauty of Birmingham. It has been emerged as a famous tourist destination
in the last few years because of its ancient architecture and cultural importance. This place is
analysed as an excellent for restaurant. Outlet of restaurant will be used for dual purpose by
providing new dining place for family and youngsters as well as, it is an area for expensive
dinning for business class people. Apart from this, the menu of restaurant will contain Mexican,
French, Italian, British cuisine, Indian and Italian best dishes and it also provides both alternative
of veg and non-vegetarian. This multi cuisine menu will influence the tourists and youngsters
along with unique Birmingham theme based interior designing. The architecture inside the

restaurant will contain a touch of all old monuments, handicrafts and culture. This attractive and
unique combination of structure and multi-cultural food will point out a difference for this
restaurant.
Apart from this, analysis of competitors is also taken into consideration that is also
considered to be important to develop a business plan as they also affect the business operations.

Some major objectives have developed which provides direct support to accomplish the work
effectively. After accomplishment of this report, these major objectives are needed to be met.
To achieve recognition of tourists from other countries and providing them better taste
and experience of multi cuisine’s dining and food of different cultures. This objective
will be achieved as there is no such competitor brand in service industry which provides
multi cuisine dishes and have an exotic architectural design.

an effective and appropriate manner.

the most effective form of business structure is partnership.
Partnership: It is considered as effective business structure which contains lower business risk
and investment (Engemann and Henderson, 2011). In partnership firm, an amount of business
capital is share by partners with an aim to maximize profits and they are equally liable for
outcome of profits and loss. By our new business plan, partnership is considered as effective as
operation and risk will be equally divided on business partners.

External analysis for selected business
As per given scenario, an external analysis of service industry is done to recognise the
factors that provide influence on implementation of major new business development plan.
PESTLE analysis is used for analysing situation for success of new business in service industry.
Political environment: These are considered as all about the government intervenes in
the economy (Gnatzy and Moser, 2012). This political environment includes factors like
government policy, political stability or instability that affects the business operations in
overseas markets, foreign trade policy, tax policy, labour laws and trade restrictions etc.
In present scenario, these factors are also analysed and to be followed in order to achieve
business objectives. Business needs to be able to respond the current and anticipated
future legislation. All the rules and regulation must be followed for removal of all
restrictions.
Economic factors: These factors also have a significant impact on how organization
regulate business and also determines its profitability (PESTLE analysis of restaurant

also provided positive influence on service industry in UK as people are more focused on
consumption of unique and quality products. Thus, economic condition are also
considered as positive for establishment of new business operations.

effectively. Thus, these legal factors will provide a negative impact on business
operations.
Environmental factors: Also identified as important because it provides an
understanding that organisation in service industry also needs to contribute towards
sustaining environment and resolve problems like scarcity of resources, pollution targets,
doing business as ethical and should analyse the rules which are developed by
government.

PART A
Defining the launch event
After development of effective business plan, it also important to launch event in order to
promote new restaurant and business service. Various are available through which effective
promotion and launch event can be made successful like celebrity endorsement, organizing a
functioning, digital advertising and promotion etc. There are various business services through
which they will be able to meet the objectives (Young and Dhanda, 2012). In present scenario,
for the promotion and organizing launch events, method of celebrity enforcement will be as they
have major popularity among the people and they have there influenced on people which
provides supports in attraction of customers. A formal procedure must be followed to invite a
most popular celebrity Chef which are mostly known for their specialist of different cuisine
foods. Along with this, all the government official in city should be invited at the launch of new
restaurant as they are well known by people and it will also be beneficial for enterprise. Family
member of staff will also be invited so that employees will feel positive and it also provides
inner motivation. The total number of guest will be 200 people. Further, we will also invite out
local media channels to cover the launch events and organize an appropriate entertainment
function for enjoyment of people.

Development of budget
For the party of two hundred people, it is also essential to have an appropriate budget so
that we will be bale to meet the requirement (Osterwalder and Pigneur, 2010). An appropriate
budget needs to be made that includes an appropriate distribution of funds for activities as per
requirement. Further, a budget and cash flow statement is prepared to determine the activities
which needs to be accomplish in appropriate budgets.
