Executive Summary
The key purpose of this report was to create self-awareness regarding myself. This report
has helped me to address my competencies and improved my different skills. It also gained
my awareness regarding different approaches that could be effective for me to enhance my
proficiency. It has addressed that I have extroversion personality due to sociable and
talkative behaviour. I have created my awareness about certain approaches to leadership
such as transformation and transactional leadership. This report has also demonstrated that I
have Transformational leadership. This leadership style was used by me to work with the
employees and involves them in decision-making procedure. The values of an individual
could lead to make reliable relationship with others. With this report, I have gained my
knowledge that I have high emotional intelligence. It was also assessed that power and
politics is an effective approach used by me to persuade the employees at the workplace. In
this way, I have learned that I will use influence strategy in power and strong culture belief
in politics. It could be effective to persuade the workforces within an organization. This
report has also built my knowledge about the decision-making and problem-solving. I
gained my understanding that I will use rationale decision-making approach in decision-
making. This report enables me to effectively solve the problem. I will use cognitive

Introduction
This reflection report discusses many components related to the self-awareness. It presents
the Big Five personality model, MBIT as it could be imperative for evaluating the
personality of an individual (Megginson and Whitaker, 2017). It demonstrates the emotional
intelligence, leadership, Values, and Motivators, and power and politics approach. In last, it
discusses decision making approaches, as it would be effective for make relatable decision
at least time and cost.
Self-awareness
The awareness is imperative for examining the personality of an individual in limited time
and cost. I gained my understanding of many factors like personality measurement tools,
attitudes, values, and motivators. I also understood that how emotional intelligence abilities
are imperative in the development of personality (Johnson, 2016). I gained my existing
knowledge towards strategies of power and politics that could also influence the personality
of an individual. At last, I gained my understanding of how a decision making theories aid
an individual to solve the problem and make a reliable solution.
2.1 Personality
In this section, I gained my understanding of the Myers- Briggs Type Indicator and Big Five
personality model. These tools are personality measurement tool as it could be effective to
critically evaluate the personality of an individual and would be effective for improving the
personality in limited time and cost (Donelan, 2016). Herein, I gained my understanding of
many factors that could affect to the personality of an individual. Personality demonstrates a
method by which people reacts and interacts with another individual. I also understood that
the personality could measure the behaviour of an individual. There are certain factors that
could consider by an individual like like heredity, environment, and situation. From the
analysis of the Big Five personality model, it is examined that individual person could be a

combination of many factors such as openness to experience, conscientiousness,
extroversion, and emotional stability (Marková, 2017).
Each factor demonstrates the different personality of an individual. In addition, it is also
evaluated that each factor demonstrates the different personality of an individual. I observed
that if an individual has openness to experience then they would have certain characteristics
like curious, imaginative, artistic, and sensitive. I also observed that if an individual has
come in the conscientiousness then they would have responsible, dependable, persistent, and
organized traits. Further, it is analysed that extroverted people have different characteristics
such as sociable, gregarious, and assertive (Caldwell and Hayes, 2016).
Agreeableness quality demonstrates the good natures, trusting, and cooperative
characteristics of an individual. I also observed that if an individual is an emotionally stable
then they would have many characteristics like calm, self-confident, and less stress. Thus, I
observed that such characteristics could be imperative for conducting appropriate behavior
with others. The emotionally stable person could understand the problems and behaviours of
others that make them social. Further, I realized that this model is effective for maintaining
the relationship with others (Görgemanns, 2017). From the analysis of the Big Five
personality model, I observed that I am an extroverted person. Therefore, I have many
characteristics like positive energy, sociability, positive emotions, confidence, and
talkativeness, which lead to making a positive relationship with others. It could also support
me in the career development by making realistic relation with others at the working place
(Bem, D.J., 2017).
2.2 Values and Motivators
In this section, I gained my understanding about values and attitudes that could be effective
for motivators. The value demonstrates the specific mode of conduct. In this, an individual
determines what is right and wrong activity. I also observed that values could be a

combination of many factors like trust, integrity, confidence, reliability, and respect. It
would support an individual to make a reliable decision (Vannini, et al., 2017). I observed
that the system of value is a hierarchy as it relies on the individual’s values with respect to
their intensity. I also gained my understanding with respect to the importance of the values.
It would lead to making a reliable decision about the research matter. Herein, I gained my
understanding of attitudes, motivation, behavior, and culture of an individual. These factors
could directly impact on the personality of the organization. In this, I gained my
understanding of the two factors that are considered in the Rokeach values like terminal and
instrumental values. I understood that how ethical behavior could influence other in the least
time. It is also evaluated that there are two factors that could affect the ethical behavior of
others like Individual influence and organizational influence (Mintz, 2016).
The individual could be influenced by many factors that could lead them to conduct
appropriate behavior in the working place value system, the locus to manage,
Machiavellianism, and cognitive moral. Thus, it is analyzed that the organization should
concentrate on such factors to make a reliable decision with respect to the current matter.
Apart from this, I also analyzed that an organization could fluctuate by certain factors such
as codes of conduct, ethics committees/officers and training, ethics communication systems,
and norms, modelling/rewards & punishment. Moreover, I gained my understanding about
the 6D model of a national culture wherein I gained my understanding about certain factors
such as Power Distance, Individualism vs. Collectivism, Masculinity vs. Femininity,
Uncertainty Avoidance, Long-term and Short-term Orientation, Indulgence (Schwartz,
2016).
It would lead to understanding the cultural values of others, which would be effective for
making a reliable decision. Further, this technique will be effective for gaining the
understanding about the dealing with the diverse culture of people at same workplace and

make a reliable relationship with them as it would be required at the time of working in an
organization. Moreover, I realized that I conduct appropriate behavior with others. I also
observed that I have a higher level of confidence that enables me to perform the reliable
activity at the working place.
2.3 Emotional intelligence
The emotional intelligence supports to understand the emotional stability of an individual
that could directly impact on the personality of an individual. There are certain factors that
could be considered in the measurement of emotional intelligence such as emotions
management, self-motivation, understand emotions of others, interpersonal relationship
management, and emotions ascertaining (Shapiro and Stefkovich, 2016). I also gained my
understanding of many models that could use to improve the emotional intelligence of an
individual. From the analysis of this model, I observed that I suddenly react to the behaviors
of others without comprehending the intent of others that would make my negative image in
the mind of others. For eliminating my behavior issues, I gained my understanding about
ability model, trait model, and a mixed model. From the application of the ability model, I
understood about many factors like perception, facilitation, understanding, and management.
It would support to make appropriate behavior with others. Apart from this, I also gained my
understanding of the mixed model that is effective for improving my behaviors (Vohs, et
al., 2018).
Through this model, I understood about certain factors like self-awareness, self-regulation,
social skills, and empathy. It could be effective for conducting appropriate behavior at the
working place. It is significant for me to make an action plan for improving my behavior
with others. I have also determined the time of six months to improve my emotional
intelligence issues and make a favorable relationship with others. From the analysis, I also
observed that I never control on my anger that could negatively impact on my productivity.

From the analysis of the Mayer Salovey Model, I observed that emotions could directly
impact on many factors such as work relationship, social relationship, career development,
and workplace success. Thus, it is analyzed that an employee should always control on their
emotions to make a realistic decision (Skjærseth and Wettestad, 2016).
2.4 Leadership
I observed that the leadership is an effective technique for inspiring others in the least time
cost for accomplishment of any same goal. I gained my understanding of a different
leadership style that could be imperative for the accomplishment of goal in targeted time. I
want to follow the transformational leadership style in the future as compared to other
leadership style. Through this leadership, I would be capable to change in society as well as
an individual system of the firm in a limited time. Further, this leadership style also makes
valuable and positive modification in a follower’s activities (Mintz, 2016). I also analyzed
that the transformational leadership could lead to improving my motivation level, moral, and
performance of an individual who is the part of the team by offering a variety of tools.
Through this, I would be capable to make a part of the desired team and analyze their
problem and need in detail then creating a vision for making a reliable solution. In addition,
I also observed that this leadership style would facilitate me to use appropriate motivational
technique and motivate the team member for the accomplishment of their task in limited
resources by changing in the existing atmosphere of the organization (Tremblay, 2017).
Moreover, changes in the policies and atmosphere could be possible by employee
commitment that would also make a positive image of the leader among team member and
encourage the team member to give their best attribution in the working place. In addition to
this, it is examined that the transformational leadership assist me to support others and
encourage them for accomplishment of their desired task. From the application of this
leadership style, I would also be capable to motivate my team members by encouraging their

self-interest. Thus, it enables me to retain my team members at the working place for long –
term. Moreover, it is evaluated that transformational leadership style facilitates the team
members to set the clear goal for accomplishment of desire needs in specified time. Further,
it is analysed that leadership could be effective for gaining the productivity of the
organization as well as employees.
2.5 Power and Politics
Power and politic could be an imperative part of leadership. It could directly impact on the
productivity of an individual as well as the organization. I want to use the moral power in
the future for managing the activities of employees at the working place and get a reliable
outcome. I also observed that the moral power enables me to spread the awareness of ethical
behavior to make positive outcome (Willingham, 2017). I also realized that power politics
could play an imperative role in the accomplishment of the organizational task in limited
time and cost. I used the influence strategies because I and my team members are suffering
from the same challenge that could only be eliminated by considering the influence
approaches. This approach could offer the power to the group as well as an individual to
influence the behavior of others in a specified time. I observed that politics could lead to the
behavior that could be conducted by an individual and organization in order to obtain their
own goal and objectives. There are two factors that could create the politics at the working
place like competition among employees and complexity and uncertainty (Meichenbaum,
2017). For eliminating the politics at the working place, I used strong culture approach
wherein I tried to make similar beliefs of the employees towards their allocated work it
would be imperative in the completion of the task in the least time and cost (Conte and
Castelfranchi, 2016). I observed that power could assist an individual to reach at their own
interest in limited time and cost.

3.0 Decision making and planning
The decision-making process and planning could be imperative in the accomplishment of
the desired goal. I observed that the perception is an important factor that could impact on
the perception and problem solving of the employees. Further, I observed that perception is
the procedure wherein an individual manage and interoperate with their sensory impression
with respect to giving meaning to their atmosphere. I observed that the behavior of a person
could rely on what they perceive from the reality. For illustration, if an individual could
make a wrong meaning on the basis of their perception then would also make an unrealistic
decision. Thus, it is analyses that the perception of the employee or an individual could
directly impact on the desired outcome (Linehan, 2018). There are three important factors
that could influence the decision making of an employee such as factors in the situation,
factors in the perceivers, and factors in the target. The attitudes, motives, interest,
expectations, and experience could be effective in obtaining a reliable result. In addition, it
is also evaluated that the rational decision-making model is effective for making a reliable
decision about the specified research matter. There are certain elements that could be
considered by an individual at the time of making decision identification of the problem,
determine the decision criteria, evaluate the criteria, develop alternatives, evaluate
alternatives, select best alternatives, selection implementation, and evaluate decision
effectiveness. An individual could entail certain elements like problem clarity, known
options, clear preferences, and maximum payoff. It could be effective for taking a realistic
decision. From the application of this theory, I would be capable to conduct a group
discussion with their team member about the specified problem and reach at the valid
conclusion. In contrast to this, it is evaluated that obtained outcome could be obtained by the
corporation and collaboration (Bara, 2016).

Through this approach, I would be capable to analysis the procedure of mental activity.
From the application of this approach, I would concentrate on certain factors like attention,
perception, creativity, thinking, language use, attention, and thinking. Through this, I
would be capable to solve the query in limited time and take a creative decision. The
cognitive approach demonstrates the relationship between the input and output responses.
Thus, it is analyzed an individual could solve their query and make the appropriate decision.
This approach could also support to create the biases from the research (Linehan, 2018).
Conclusion
From the above analysis, it can be concluded that self-awareness technique is effective for
examining the personality of an individual. It also provides an opportunity for an individual
for improving their personality. It can also be summarized that there are creation self-
awareness techniques that are used by me to examine my characteristics systematically
named big five-personality model, emotional intelligence, and values of an individual.
Further, it can also be concluded that transformational leadership style could be more
appropriate as compared to the other leadership style as it would facilitate to make increase
the morale of employees in least time and cost. It can also be summarised that power a
politics could also be effective in making a realistic approach. It can also be illustrated that
the organization could use decision-making technique and problem-solving theory to make a
reliable decision in limited time and cost.
