Introduction
Employee turnover is one of the most important and critical issue that can impact an organization in
many different ways. Employee turnover issue not only impacts and organization’s overall efficiency
and effectivity but also increases operational cost. There are various reasons because of which
employee turnover of an organization can increase.
If employees of an organization are not satisfied or have low motivational level then it can become
difficult for firm to retain their employee. Some of the main reason because of which turnover rate
of a firm increases are: lower salaries/ wages or no employment perks, lack of positive working
environment. Not only this if staff members are not promoted or are not appreciated then it can also
lead to lower motivational level of employees. They might feel trapped within the organization.

Background
Today due to changing trends and perception of people, overall organization culture has shifted from
business oriented to employee oriented. Organizations need to focus upon motivating employees so that
they can work upon enhancing their skills, efficiency and productivity.
Various kinds of research have been carried out in this research area that clearly explains that leadership
and management of an organization plays a vital role in motivating employee, enhance job satisfaction
level which eventually lead to enhancement of overall productivity of employees.
Due to non effective leadership and management, overall growth and progression rate of an
organization can be reduced due to which employees feel demotivated and feel that their chance of
improvement within their status and income has also been reduced.
