INTRODUCTION
The career action plan is considered as key approach which is helpful in increasing
competitive strength of an individual (Foss, 2021). In the recent times, career action plan plays a
major role in increasing career development opportunities for an individual. In this report I will
mention my career development plan which is related to the field of human resource
management. The career action plan and its development related to human resource management
will also help me to develop my career as HR manager in the retail industry. In this report there
is a curriculum vitae and LinkedIn profile has been developed and designed in order to gain
effective growth in my career field. This project will include my personal analysis in order to
know my strengths and weaknesses. The project will also include a key focus on various skills
which are required in academic and professional life are also mentioned. This report will also
include key focus on human resource management and its dimensions which are important for
systematic development of myself. The key competencies and capabilities which required in the
role of a HR manager are also discussed in this report.

The personal analysis is a major approach which includes assessment of self in order
know the potential. I will take into consideration the application of SWOT analysis in order to
know my major strengths and weaknesses. I want to develop my career in the field of retail
industry which is a major sector providing employment opportunities (Guangzhi, Liangang, and
Zhengmao, 2019). Time management and leadership skills are my major strengths which will
help me to overcome key issues and challenges that come in between my responsibilities. My
main weaknesses are critical thinking skills and problem solving which can create an obstacle for
me in my human resource management field. Gaining growth and expansion in the field of
human resource management are major opportunities available to me. In order to take advantage
of the opportunities, I need to focus on developing key competencies and skills (Hanson, and

to develop effectiveness in my career related goals and objectives, I will take guidance from my

I have also examined key issues and general trends that are faced by retail industry. The

competitive life. I have also experienced that new general trends which are arising in the retail
sector like selling online is non-negotiable, Social commerce, supply chain issues and customer
experience is interactive. In order to resolve these issues I will take assistance of professional
managers who are already working for a company (Lotter, and Miller, 2017) I will also analyse
my capability in order to deal with key issues of retail sector and increase my approach to
resolve these issues. My learning skills needs some improvements which are essential for me to
develop a critical approach in knowledge increasing. I will also take into consideration, the
business management related learnings to perform key operations in a precise manner. The HR
manager's functions and tasks will be also analysed by me in order to provide key advantage to
the organisation I am working for. I will also improve my communication skills in order to
effectively communicate with subordinate employees and team members. I will also take into
consideration, key approach to resolve many business issues which arise in functioning of a
business to develop a major and crucial approach. I will learn data management in a professional
manner to analyse data related to my organisation in a systematic manner. I will develop
coordination skills in order to establish major coordination between my staff members for
performing major tasks in a well-defined manner (Miller, 2017).. In order to develop my skills, I
will keep on practising which will help me to increase my potential. I would also like to increase
my multi-tasking skills that will help me improving my approach for dealing with key problems
