CE 3.2 Project Background
CE 3.2.1 Characteristics of the project
I had conducted this project study to implement a data logging system which provides
flexibility, customization and combination to WSN. Data logging is a general measurement
application which measure and record of physical as well as electrical parameters. I had
considered some of the data such as voltage, temperature, flow, current, power, pressure and
resistance. The data logging applications acquire and record of signals, involving with
combination of data sharing. Data logging system is combined with storage capabilities of the
data loggers to archive, analyze, and report and display of capabilities of modern PC. This PC
based data logging system is used to provide wide range of measurement types, analyzing the
capabilities as well as reporting tools. Within the PC based data logging system, data acquisition
is accomplished by measuring the hardware such as sensor, signal connectivity and conditioning.

CE 3.2.2 Objectives developed for the project
Following are the objectives of the project study:
 To implement data logging system with WSN
 To convert of physical parameters into electrical signals
 To describe components of hardware measurement with which the sensors are connected
towards logging system
CE 3.2.3 My area of work
I had provided an in-depth study on the WSN applications in order to monitor as well as
control of the environmental data. I had also analyzed the environmental data such as voltage,
temperature, flow, current, power, pressure and resistance for data logging. I had controlled
entire sensor network with no retrieve of the sensors once it is installed. I had implemented the
data logger for WSN which allows real time acquisition of data and storage on acquired data into
flash memory.
