INTRODUCTION
SWOT analysis
SWOT analysis tool is called the best and effective tool as it helps people and companies
to identify their own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. As a marketing manager it
is important to know and identify own strengths and weaknesses for accomplishing own goals
and develop in career and in business profession (Phadermrod, Crowder and Wills, 2019). With
the help of this tool, I can take several opportunities and decrease barriers which can occur in the
path of my career and success. Some strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of me as a
marketing manager are:
Strengths
• As a marketing manager my main strength is innovative thinking which makes me able to
develop promotional strategies.
• Communication skills and networking ability is my strength which helps in influencing
people.
• I am also good in solving critical problem and working under pressure.
• Decision making skills is also my strength which makes me able to reduce errors from
work and tasks.
Weaknesses
• As a marketing manager I need to improve adaptability skills as I am lack in flexibility
skills.
• To take too much time in completing work and completing multiple tasks is my
weakness.
• My patience skills are too weak which can create several threats in my personal as well as
in professional life.
• I am lacking in process design skills and this is my weakness that has created several
problems and barriers in my success path and can snatch several opportunities in my
professional life.
Opportunities
• As a marketing manager I can take opportunity to influence people and make them agree
to take services and products because I have an effective communication skills.

• I can accomplish and take several advantages by providing attractive and innovative
services to customers which is the big opportunity.
• By working under pressure, I feel fresh, stress free and energetic which can give
opportunity to become a leader and increase my motivation skills.
Threats
• Due to lack in flexibility and adaptability skills, changes in social needs and regulations
can create threat and can also snatch several opportunities.
• Several competitors can become the market leader as I am not good in time management
and this weakness can decrease customers experience (Ghiasvand and et.al., 2017).
• As I am lacking in patience skills by which I can not give proper and strong attention to
details which can create threats and decrease productivity.
Career plan
A career plan refers strategy that allows an individual to determine their interest and on
that basis set career goals and put actions in place that can help in accomplishing all goals and
objectives (Gould, 2017). It plays a vital role as it can help people to strengthen work related
activities in professional life by defining career, interest and abilities. In the context of business
professional, it is essential to create and develop a career plan. Marketing manager has to play
several functions so there is an importance to have some skills and set short term as well as long
term goals for becoming successful.
Career plan
Short term goals:
• Marketing a small business.
• To develop and increase webpage design skills.
• To improve awareness and customer satisfaction.
• To become a progressive thinker with track record of pioneering strategies.
Long term goals:
• To market a business of multinational company.
• To become successful and increase people experience in marketing field.
• To become a marketing manager of larger company by learning to motivate teams and

control.
• To increase website traffic.
• To gain experience in global company by taking responsibility for a leading brand.
• To become a highly motivated marketing expert by implementing a marketing approach.
Current competencies and skills: Project management, innovation, team working,
communication, technical, psychological management, business improvement, technical and
influencing skills etc.

Curriculum vitae or resume are important document because it shows everything about an
individual like their education, working experience and skills (Holbrook, 2015). It may be used
for variety of reasons and the main important use of making an effective resume is to get desired
jobs according to the qualification.
