2CAREER MANAGEMENT Challenges faced Reaction towards ides I faced some challenges while implementing my ideas. I realized that in the initial stages others weren’t reacting positively to my ideas. They felt that I failed to take their opinions and views before launching new ideas in the board meetings. I wasworking in a team o the management department. My team was working for deliveringan elevator pitch regarding anew project in front of foreign delegates(Salas, Reyes and McDaniel 2018). Thetopic of presentationwas to how canmanagers reduce employee turnover.I understood that I need to be much more approachable in nature so that all my team mates can get the chance to discuss their views and their opinions with me. Communication issues There are also certain communication issues that I faced while carrying on with the team work. I realized that I was afraid of speaking in the public front. I wasworking in a team of the management department. My team was working for deliveringan elevator pitch regarding anew project in front of foreign delegates. I was not able to build a proper connect with the audiences(Smith and Douglas 1993). I kept on delivering the presentation without adding any personal touch or without involving the parents. The elevator pitch was about the new ideas of retaining employees to reduce employee turnover.I gave some new ideas like theusage of biometric devices, flexible shifts, perks and incentives. These ideas would help the organization in keeping the employees happy and the rate ofresignations would fall.
3CAREER MANAGEMENT Self Performance Review I felt very enthusiastic while working with a new team. This is because I have been able to interact with so many people at the same time(Kiweewa et al 2018). However things were not very easy at the beginning of the session. The tuck man’s team working theory has been used in this aspect Forming This was the initial sessions where the entire team members did not have a good connection. They felt that they are in a totally new kind of environment and all are busy in finding out their positions for themselves. I was also very new to the team and did not know what to do. I found it really tough to work in a new team. I could not understand the rules and the regulations. I felt very lonely and helpless. I was also shy and hesitant I delivering the elevator pitch. I thought that none of my suggestions will be getting executed as nobody will listen to me. Execution of suggestions The execution of the ideas could be done properly after I was successful in making a proper connection with the listeners. I realized that I will be able to form a proper connection with the audiences only after I develop a connection with the audiences by adding a personal touch in the ideas being executed. I saw that the team members and all the other members realized that my ideas were really nice and could bring good results if executed. Thus the managers really were impressed due to my ideas and they started appreciating them. Themanagement realizedthat in order to retain employees the first thing that they will execute is developing a flexible shift from9 to 5.
4CAREER MANAGEMENT This approach would help the employees to strike a work life balance rather than witching over to other options. Storming At this stage all the members started to see themselves as the members of the team. They started interacting with one another and also shared their own ideas and beliefs(Holbrook 2010). I saw that the team leader and the other teammates were trying to help me out. They made an effort to come to me and see if I was having any problems. I think that this is a very good experience of being part of a team(Hallowell 1999). Experience in presenting the elevator pitch My overall experience was good and knowledgeable. I was having some problems in the initial times as I did not feel confident. I was feeling nervous as there were so many people present among the audiences. I thought that no one would pay attention. However as I took up my confidence and started delivering the presentation, I saw that it got a positive response. All the members were participating and supporting my ideas. My team mates also helped me to gather new ideas while communicating.

5CAREER MANAGEMENT Norming At this stage, I realized that I am being able to form collaboration within my team. All the members came together and started putting forward joint efforts in order to get the works done. I realized that in order to manage and work in the team properly I have to form a connection between all the team members. Mysuggestions and ideas were well acceptedby the team mates and they also executed the same. The team mates were happy as I took their decisions and their views before making up the final pitch to be delivered at class. I realized that individual support and cooperation is the major elements for team success. Performing This was the final stage where I had to deliver the elevator pitch. Though I was very afraid in the beginning but I felt that I have to overcome this fear. Thus I gathered courage and I knew that my team was acting as a huge support for me. This was avery good experiencefor myself development. While I was delivering the elevator pitch to the class I felt that I was able to connect with each member of my team and my class. This was really very helpful. Though I faced some hurdles in the beginning I realized that I was eventually able to overcome them.
