INTRODUCTION
Career is considered as the jobs or experiences and sessions of training that helps an
individual in advance for paying or having responsibility. Career view point is highly important
for the students as it helps in learning about the various professions that suit well their
competencies as well as experiences along with their unique career choices such as likes and
dislikes, interests, skills as well as values (Afanasiev and et.al, 2018). It helps in identifying my
strengths and weaknesses along with the opportunities and threats. It also facilitates me in
recognising my skills to stay competitive for specific job role. Within this report, the chosen job
role is HR profession as a career as it is a perfect platform to expand my career in this corporate
world through knowledge as well as capabilities. Personal analysis is included within the
portfolio that describe the strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, career action plan is also
going to be discussed along with skills and knowledge that are to be required for future
development of an individual.
MAIN BODY
Personal Analysis:
Within the existing scenario, the profession of HR is functioning as there are many
colleges or universities and institutions that are providing different types of related courses. In
this present study, an individual is intense capable to increase its skills, abilities and knowledge
that facilitates it in meeting their personal goals in a successful way (White, 2019). As per my
knowledge within the current field, I recognise that profession of HR can give me various
opportunities that would provide assistance to me in making my successful future. Because of
my interest in this field, I am able to make a plan for performing a role of HR as I am very
passionate about this role and I always consider it as my dream. I completed my graduation in
business management and within this course I had learnt what kinds of skills and knowledge are
required in this field for monitoring and managing human resources effectively within an
organisation (Hooley, Sultana and Thomsen, 2017). I also analysed that this field requires a lot
of skills such as leadership, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, managerial, active
listening and many more.
While participating the role of HR in many plays of school and university, I observed that
my communication and leading skills was not good. I also noticed that I was lacking in the skills

of problem-solving and teamwork. For enhancing these skills within me, I started interacting
with other people because these skills are highly required not only in HR but also in many other
fields. Effective communication skills help in maintaining connections with other people as it is
very essential to improve this skill (Rick, 2017). These type of skills would help me in easily
conveying or transferring the information to other people in a better way. Hence, I highly worked
upon this type of skill and made improvements within me through this skill. In context to
decision-making skills, I recognised that at the position of HR, I have to take better business
decisions concerned with the growth of the organisation. To improve this type of skill, I started
to take my own decisions within my life that would help me in my performing the role of HR
and also provide assistance to the human resources of the organisation in giving directions to
achieve the set objectives and targets of the business (Tsai, Hsu and Yang, 2017). I also
identified some weaknesses within me that created problems for me in making my career
successful. So, I had also worked upon these skills that also facilitate in removing hazards related
to this skill in my future career.
Personal SWOT analysis:
Strengths
I have good communication skills that
would help me in doing effective
communication within the business.
I am able to take my own decisions that
would help me in taking quick and
correct decisions in organisation when I
will become an HR
I have good time management skills
that would facilitate me in managing
the business activities within a specific
period of time.
Weaknesses
I am weak at leadership skills and for
achieving this type of skill, I have to
practice on more projects and develop
situational awareness within me.
My another weakness is that I have less
initiative skills in information
technology so I require directions for
doing the task.
I am not good at doing the task in a
team or I can say that my teamwork
skills are not good.
Opportunities
It is an opportunity for me to develop
information technology skills within
Threats
It can be a threat for me if the
competition within the HR department
