INTRODUCTION Graduateemploymentandgraduatejobrefersapositionwhichrequiresaminimumof undergraduate degree for an individual (Mok and Jiang, 2017). This present study is based on marketing job role in which graduate individual want to enter. After my graduation I want to perform roles of marketing as I think that I have some skills which can help me out in performing roles of marketing in an effective manner and also improving career. Main aim of this study is to identify own skills, requirement of knowledge for performing basic roles after graduation. This study will discuss all current trends and roles required to perform in marketing, problem associated with it and all. The main aim of this report is to identify skills which are required for performing marketing role. Further, it will also discuss some skills which are requiredinanindividualaftergraduationforperformingrolesofmarketingsuchas: communication, research and development, problem solving and others. Analysis and Application General trends which can impact on chosen profession It is important to gather information related to marketing profession as what changes often occurs, problems which companies faces and all. By participating in career development program where total participants were 50 and were around 10 marketing manager of different organizations. They told all of us about requirement of basic skills in performing marketing role like communication and research and development (Mago, 2017).They also made all people known about effectiveness of marketing and using appropriate methods by which employees can accomplish goals, take competitive advantages and attract customers to the great extent. They told appropriate ways of dealing with customers, working under pressure and ways of solving problems. At the end of the event, some employees askedsome questions from marketing managers related to this profession likeProblems faced by marketers,the most choosing way of marketing between digital and traditional and ways of satisfying customers and solving marketing related problem which are: In the context ofproblemsassociated with marketing role it is found in this regard that several organizations and marketed face problems of satisfying changing needs of customers. Customers 1
are becoming health conscious and in several industries like apparel, retail and others, customers requirements getting changed in rapid manner and changing own strategies accordingly can increase cost and time as well. It may sometimes become reason of frustration and failure in attracting customers and increasing sales. It is found from information and articles thatnowadays most of the larger organizations are using digital marketing because they find easier in approaching and interacting with global customers and many customers at once.There are several factors which need to be considered while attracting global customers. Some factors vary culture to culture and it create some problems such as taste of people and their different lifestyle. Different cultures of people have different taste so, while making planning it is important for manager to add all values and elements which can satisfy needs of different culture of people or modify products as per the needs of customers.It reduces their time and cost as well. One of the other reason is increasing use of technology and globalization and people make use of social media to the great extent and due to this reason, companies focus on digital rather than traditional marketing. It is important to know about appropriate ways and strategies which are being used by successful companies in solving problems and satisfying changing needs of customers, In this regard it is found that allowing customers’ to share their views, giving feedbacks, providing post sale services, being in contact after sale are some ways. When customers are allowed to share their views regarding products and when company take all their views into consideration and make changes in their products accordingly and also when they get post sale services then it makes customers feel valued and increase loyalty (Alonso-Gonzalez, 2017). It is one of the best way of increasing customer retention rate. From secondary research some information regarding marketing is gathered and it is found that globalization is having critical impacts on marketing. All developing countries are getting several opportunities of business expansion, interacting with global customers, establishing markets in new countries and increasing sales. By using global marketing and social media they are saving money which can increase their profit margin. On the other hand, it is also found that due to increasing use of technology and globalization, small and medium size companies are facing problems in attracting customers as initially they require investing money in social media for developing website, promoting goods. Due to lack of availability, they are becoming fail in attracting customers. But by making use of 2

some skills which are required in performing roles as marketer such as Communication, decision making, influencing and negotiating and meeting customers face to face they are competing with other companies. Skills and experiences required for chosen profession As a newly graduate who wants to perform role as marketer require some skills and experience and on these basis, selection is being done. Some important and basic skills of marketer on which basis, employer hire graduate which are being known from primary research and by participating in career events include: Communication:One of the main aims of marketer is to influence and making customers aware about products and services of company and it can only be done with good oral and written communication skills. So, communication is a vital for performing marketing roles in an effective manner (Di Gregorio and et.al., 2019). If marketer has effective active listening and oral skill then he can influence customers and can make them able to buy products of their company.By having this skill, newly graduate can promote goods and brand of the Company and help them out in accomplishing their goals. So, there is requirement of having this skill for interacting with any type of customer with efficacy. Research and development:Other main responsibility of marketing is to gather information from customers and accordingly provide them products. Different customers have different needs and company can make an effective position in the market when they satisfy their customers which can be done when marketer have an effective research and development skill. As per this skills gradates require having an ability to research about market trends like customers likes, dislikes, preferences, competitors pricing strategies and making use of all information with effectiveness and making products accordingly. Team working:In the context of marketing role it can be said that it is interrelated with other departments like after collecting information they need to provide them to sales and purchasing department and also interacting with finance, HR and other department for performing their roles with efficacy. So, by having an effective team working skill, graduate as a marketer can get several effective information which plays an important role in decision making, development and customers awareness. 3
Creativity:There are several organizations in the market who focuses on marketing the most but there are only few organizations who are successful and one of the main reason behind it is their creativityskill.Aftercollectinginformationandinteractingwithcustomers,asuccessful marketer make use of their creativity and imagination skills which help them out in making their products unique and use attractive ways of approaching customers and providing them products. So, it is one of the main skills required for performing role as marketer. Confidence and self motivation:Performing roles as marketer is not an easy task as according to business environmental factors they have to make changes in their strategies and require working under pressure. For graduates it is important of having self motivation and confidence skills for having a good image in the eye of customers and making them believe on themselves. There are several other areas in which people require expertise such as: Decision making: After market research, interacting with customers, marketers require taking better decision which is beneficial for both company and customers This ability of making decision also requires evaluation skill. So, by having a critical evaluation and analysis skills of viewing both positive and negative sides of each aspect, graduate can perform marketing roles in an effective manner (Kutlubay and Uslay, 2019). Influencing and negotiationskill:This skillrefers an ability in which people can make other people believe in themselves and it is the key of the success. Not only making people aware about products of the company is important but for increasing sales and retaining them with the company, graduates require having expertise in this ability.For negotiating and influencing people they need to make use of their skills of communication, integrity, calm behaviour and others skills at once and according to the nature of customers(Richards, Guerrero and Fischbach, 2020). An individual who has this skill can easily attract customers for buying products and also improve brand in an effective manner. So, from the above discussed all skills and knowledge area it can be said that as a newly graduate who wants to perform all basic roles of marketing in an effective manner requires all these. 4
Conclusion From the above study it has been summarized that communication and decision making skills played a vital role in playing roles after graduation as marketer. All these skills like research and development and others allow a newly graduated person to perform their roles in an effective manner and increasing confidence for improving career.Further, it has also been evaluated that marketers require identifying t some current trends relevant to marketing as what problems may occur, ways of solving problems,how they use their skills and all this information can be gathered by participating in career events and other personal contacts. 5
