3CARRIER MANAGEMENT
1.1. To develop a 3-year career plan with supporting statement to justify the career path
taken which demonstrates research into the industry sector.
I started my career with amaster degree in the year of 2018 – 2019. During my master
degree,I learned the basic knowledgeregarding the travel and tourism industry (Chow, Lai and
Loi 2015). I started to acquire knowledge from various academic sources to be potential enough.
I also undertook various projects work as a part of my college academic work which helped me
to groom myself further (Hertzman et al., 2015).
Later on, around the year of 2019, I worked as an entry-level agent with the intention to
acquire some knowledge regarding the working of the hospitality industry, I gathered knowledge
as of how the booking activity takes place and what are the varying customer's demands
(Deming 2018). Moving from there I carried on with Team Leader role in the year 2020; it was
one of my vital phase where I learned a lot about the management traits and the burden of
responsibilities that stays in the hand of the hospitality industry.
Evaluation plan:
1- Choose a carrier path and implement it
Among the various alternatives available, my first strategic plan was to go for travel and
tourism degree, so that I can have a better awareness regarding the corporate norms and
corporate culture (Mason 2015). I was very potential in terms of geographical knowledge and the
cultural differences that exist in our society. I found that much of the skill in terms of practical
field knowledge lack within myself for which I choose to head forward with this degree.
The very sole reason for choosing this path because of the skills that I would possess in
terms of the employee relationship maintenance, inventory management, Guest services,

Catering, Event management and problem solver (Bustamam, Teng and Abdullah 2014). Beside
my upselling technique skill was very much proficient. I was also inherited with leadership
qualities which helped me to undertake decisions accordingly.
2- Completion of my degree
After successful completion of my college degree, I was having adequate knowledge of
the geographical skills and the working style. I am also able to link different market scenarios
with practical life experience and situation. Slowly, I got a feeling that now that I am able to
understand the tourism industry working (Michopoulou et al. 2015). However, I realized that
book knowledge is not sufficient to make myself place in the dream designation for which I
started to plan for indulging myself within the boundaries of a corporate office to gain further
experience.
3- Undertaking job for increasing experience level
I understood that being a part of the corporation is not an easy task for me. For which I
undertook measure to be a part of the internship programme. I thought that working within an
internship programme will yield me the feel of work pressure and would give me a better
exposure towards the market environment (Mowforth and Munt 2015). As the day passed by I
groomed myself and learned a lot of things.
At last, I was satisfied that I was able to co-operate with my plans and carry out with it
accordingly. Later, I started to build confidence among myself and thought it is now time to
move on and contribute towards my goal. Moreover, the internship programme which I carried
on was a part of my college pre-placement programme; it helped me to gain a bunch of practical
knowledge of the work field (Yassine, Kadry and Sicilia 2016).

2.1. A job description and personal specification of a role for which you would like to apply
for as your placement/or full-time role.
Personal specification- Speaking about the qualification, I graduated in the field of travel and
tourism degree and later continued my higher education with the hope of meeting my future
target of being a qualitative agent of a reputed company. For this, I perused various training
degree from various training centres.
Beside this academic degree, I kept myself indulged in the various trekking events and
organisation of events and tours which used to take place in various geographical area. I also
kept myself indulged with the day to day corporate news and the CSR practices of such
corporates (Head and Alford 2015). I also tried to furnish myself with the decision making
ability for which I put myself in the complicated situation and tried to overcome from such
situation; this undertaking was carried upon by me to get deep into the decision making ability
criteria (Rok and Mulej 2014).
Being a management professional, I also gave much of the time into the management
field to have an overview concept of the working of the management practices and the threats
that are associated with the management field (Çelik, Dedeoğlu and Inanir 2015). This was an
extracurricular activity which I undertook in order to make sure that the future professional days
would not be hampered because of the lack of knowledge. I do not want to arrive at a situation of
an excuse. I also took training from an external training centre that teaches the recent trend of
management issues and the factors that introduce such conflicts within the organisation (Smith
2014). The training programme took fora time period of 6months. I carried on all these activities
with the objective of becoming a qualitative tourism agent.
