followed by every organization.
Discussion-
What are the relevant facts in this case?
The most relevant fact of this case is the lack of ethics in the securities of the United
Airlines. The passenger had paid for the seat and it is illegal to remove a passenger just
because the flight is overbooked. Another fact is that people have become almost
insensitive towards each other. From the video it is evident that other passengers were
busy recording the video instead of saving the old man inhumanly beaten up.

2CASE ANALYSIS
The first ethical issue is that the flight accepted overbooking. The second is that when
the fight management could not control the number of bookings, they did not have the
right to demean a senior citizen and beat him inhumanly even after his right to have a seat
in the flight. The third ethical issue is that, the CEO of the United Airlines addressed the
old man as “disruptive and belligerent “. The leaders are followed by his subordinates but
here the leader himself is indifferent towards the incident (Youtube.com 2019).
Who are the primary stakeholders in the case?
The primary stakeholders of the case are the CEO/ leader, the passengers/ customers, the
securities/ employees and the organization itself (Crane and Matten 2016).
What was United alternative solution?
The alternative solution for the United Airlines was that, when the management saw that
the flight has become overbooked and there is not enough seat for each passenger, it
could have resolved the situation by arranging seats for half of the passengers in the next
flight or in another flight at the same time.
Why Dao did not leave peacefully?
Dao did not leave peacefully because he had paid the required amount of money for the
journey and the seat. It was his right to have a seat and conduct the journey.
Dis Dao violated the Airline rules and regulations?
No, he did everything according to the laws. Moreover, the organization went against the
laws.

It was completely unethical of the United Airlines because it is prohibited to accept flight
bookings after the seats are full.
Recommendations and Conclusion
After the above case study, it can be recommended that the CEO must change his
leadership style and attitudes because he is the role model whom the subordinates will follow.
The reputation of the United Airlines will keep staining if the management stays alike.
