INTRODUCTION
Managing communication is important aspect that deals with organized planning,
employing , observation and revision all channels of communication within a firm and between
firms. The managing communication also involve the management and distribution of new
communication directives joint with a company, network or techniques used for exchanging
information. It play an important role in organization as it enable in transferring information and
knowledge from one individual to other. However, the present report is based on the case study

of Samsung which is South Korean company operates in electronics, engineering and chemicals.
The stated document is prepared with a purpose to depict the decisions taken by this company.
In addition to this, it will also define the different decisions taken by the management for the
success of this company (Cartwright and Cooper, 2012).
TASK 1
1.1
As per the scenario, Samsung has decide to use the GSM network at global market.
However, the scenario management team on Samsung is required to take certain decisions which
are stated below.
Target market: The management is required to select the target market in order to provide GSM
services to the customers. This will assist the company to analyse the actual market.
Location: This is the another decisions taken by the management of the stated company in
which they will decide to set up their office. It is necessary for the company to set up this office
at nearest reach to the customers.
Finance: In order to launch GSM, the organization is required to analyse the appropriate sources
of funds. This will help the company to identify the requisite source so that it can earn high
revenues (Dijkman, La Rosa and Reijers, 2012).
Pricing decision: The management is needed to analyse the prices changed by the company for
the GSM services. For the same, the firm is required to analyse the competitors prices.
In context to above, the management of Samsung is needed to focus on strategic
decisions, tactical decisions and operational decisions. With reference to strategic decisions, the
firm has evaluated the need of GSM network in order to provide better 2G service to the
customers. As a result the organization has decided to introduced GSM services with a motive to
provide better connectivity and internet speed. Besides this, in terms of tactical decision the cited
organization need to developa divisional plan for the implementation of strategic plan i.e. of
GSM services. Here, the management needs to focus on the acquisition and requirements of
resources. These decisions will be effectively taken the middle management of Samsung.
At operational level, the management of Samsung requires focusing on daily operations
of company such as people management and task management. It will assist the firm to attain its
goals and objectives in an appropriate manner.

In order to implement the propose plan, the management is needed to get information
with reference to tax, competitors and consumers needs and demands. However, the
organization is needed to identify the taxes paid and other details. In addition to this, the
company is also required to focus on the services offered by its competitors. This will provide an
assistance to the company to take pricing decisions for the desire product. Additionally, the
organization is also required to gather informations about the business laws of UK with reference
to telecommunication industry. The management is also required to identify the recruitment and
selection of the candidates for the new services. If the firm takes its existing employees for the
new product then they will be required to provide training and development sessions for the
personnel development. This will assist the company to successfully implement the plan for the

In relation with aforesaid context, the effective decision making can be done by adapting
company's strategic plan. It will provide an insight to the to management to implement the same
in a defined manner. Besides this, the establishment also needed to centred on UK business laws

human resource manager of the organization make sure of the required capabilities of the

used further. On other hand, the stated organization also has external sources through which the
management can gather crucial information. Whereas,government websites and journals can be
adopted by the company. By considering this, the company will be able to analyse the current
market trends. In addition to this, internet is also another useful tool for the collection of requisite
information. With the help the stated tool, the organization can identify the services offered by
the competitors with reference to GSM services. By adopting all these sources the venture will

be able to gather ample of information for the implementation of the plan. They will benefit the
company for the competitor analysis. With the help of this, the organization will be able to
identify the services offered by them (Kuhnke, 2011).

In order to increase the UK customer base, the organization can adopt marketing and
promotional techniques. The firm can mainly marketing with the help of television, print media,
sales promotion and online tools. Whereas, the company can give advertisements on television

can also adopt print media in which the advertisement can be given in newspaper. This will help

Stakeholders are the one who has direct or indirect interest in the operations of the
company because they have somehow invested in the company. However, the stated organization
also has certain shareholders who are invited by the management of Samsung for the event. The
invited stakeholders are given below.

Shareholders: The organization will invite its shareholders so that they can ensure them about
their diverse plan. This will help the company to maintain the trust factor of the shareholders.
Government: The organizational will also invite the government officials in order to take
permissions for the new services. This will help the company to analyse the rules and regulations
formulated with relation to telecommunication industry (Cornelissen, 2014).
Suppliers: The organization will also include the suppliers for the new plan because they will
provide raw material to the company. However, this will help them to identify the need of raw
material to this organization.
Employees: They are the most important stakeholders of the company because at the end they
will be the one who will work on to the company's plan.
Customers: The company is required to invite customers for their event so that it will help the
organization to raise their trust of the customers (Cartwright and Cooper, 2012).

In order to make contacts with the different proposed invitees, the management of
Samsung can adopt different cost effective channels. For an instance, the company can adopt
formal communication with the government by adopting letters. In this, they will request the
government for their services. In addition to this, the organization will make contacts with the
customers by using Facebook and twitter where they will create a homepage and thry to
communicate with the customers. They will let them know about their upcoming services which
will cache the attention of the users(Baba, 2014).
Additionally, renowned firm will make contacts with suppliers with the help of
telephone. They will discuss them about the need of raw material for their end products.
2.3
In order to involve all the invitees, there will be different methods used by the
organization. For the involvement of customers, the company will send mails to them including
the information about the event and invitation. In addition to this, the management will send
invitation letter to the government officials This will assist them to know the agenda of the event.
Besides this, the company can analyse their interest the management can adopt tool like taking
feedbacks from the stakeholders. This will provide an assistance to this organization to identify
the stakeholders interest towards their planned event (Baba, 2014).

In context to above, the promotional team of Samsung needs to take the feedbacks of
stakeholders which results in evaluating their interest. Stakeholders feedback will let the
management know their agenda for the occasion. It will also assist the management to implement

As per the scenario, the organization is going to conduct an event for the product launch.
In order to make this event interesting, the company can use promotional activities. For the same,

media so that large of consumers can know about this event and become a part of the same.
Besides this, the firm can offer return gifts to the participants so that it can benefit each and
every individual of this event. This will leave a positive impact on the company and also

The aforesaid firm will use the promotional activities where the company can provide
free movie tickets, free services of mobile and discounts at the time of purchasing mobile

event happening. Additionally, refreshments and other fun activities can be conducted by the
management of Samsung. The organization can also provide demo of their upcoming services so

The existing communication structure of the Samsung is based on email,
telephone,internal memo and meetings etc. However, The top authorities of this organization has
adopted different structure in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. For
the employees and internal structure, the stated firm uses emails and telephones so that business
information can be exchanged. For the customers, the organization adopts websites where new
products, services and regulations of the company are updated over company websites. This
helps the customers to be updated with the changes in policies and products of the company. In
addition to this, for shareholders the organization conducts annual general meeting in which they
can know about the changed policies and rates of dividend (Baba, 2014).
3.2
In order to improve the overall communication system of the sated organization, the
management can take feedbacks form different stakeholders. Specially, for the customers the
management can give them feedback form in which they can ask about the services offered and
company response to their issues and queries. This will result in improving the communication
system of this firm which leads to have positive impact on the company operations. In addition
to this, the management can also ask for feedbacks form the employees by conducting short
meetings with them. This will ensure the firm that they are able to match up with the satisfaction
level of the consumers (Cornelissen, 2014).

In order to improve communication between local community and the company, the
management can conduct meetings because there are certain responsibilities of this company
towards the local community. They take resources form the community so its their duty to give
them something in return. This can be done with the help of effective communication with the
help of local media. Adopting this platform will result in making proper interaction with the
community. Here, the company can know about the issues faced by the local community which
can be resolved by this organization (Decker, Riley and Siemer, 2012).

Being a Liaison trainee manager, I have to communicate with both the upper level
management and lover level employees of the company. In addition to this, sometimes I have to
deal with the clients and customers for which it is necessary to have good communication skills.
I have conducted personal SWOT analysis by which I came to know about my strengths and
weakness. Whereas, my strengths are leadership skills, time management skills and weakness are
my communication skills and short tempered. For the successful attainment of future
opportunities, it is important to improve my communication skills. For the same there are certain
methods which is been adopted by me. Following are given below (Baba, 2014).
Seminars and conference: This is the most effective methods for the improvement of
communication skills. In seminars and conference different grounds of people are come and
interact with each other. This result in improving the confidence level and also helped me to
improve my communication skills (Cornelissen, 2014).
Personal development classes: This is the another method which has helped me to improve my
communication skills. Here, my lecture gave me the chance to speak in front of people which
helped me to improve this skill.

As per mu current communication skills, I need to improve in order to make
communication with clients and customers. In future if I be promoted for corporate heads then
these skills will assist me to attain my personal and organizational objectives.

Proposed communication strategy is helpful because with the use of seminars and PPD
classes my current skills will get enhanced. Additionally, the communication strategy will
remain advantageous for the community for sending effective message. For the same, the said
venture can take the assistance of local media which leads to make proper interaction with

information and services rendered.

stored with the help of computers. It is necessary for this firm, to adopt better security software
so that the personal data and information of the company can remain safe. In addition to this, the
firm is required to formulate an internal portal so that the whole organization can remain
connected with each other. This will result in proper transferring of information and also to
safeguard the customer and employee data in an effective manner (Ward, 2006).

implemented and supervised by me. It will assist the Samsung UK in terms of safety and security
of data. In the stated organization, the customer information will remain safe and also assist the
community to get improved services.
