INTRODUCTION
There are different skills required by business in prospective employees and these needs
are changed in digital changes. Professional skills include various skills, ability, knowledge
required by employee to find a job. Professional skills include interest in work, confidence,
decision making, planning and organisation. But in digital age, these skills include computer
knowledge, understanding and using different software etc. Nowadays many business go online
and customer also like to but things from online platforms due to global pandemic as it allow
them to buy products without physical appearance. In this environment, these skills helps
employee to work in online business without any difficulty. This project report include different
technologies used by business to run their business in covid-19 situation along with their
advantage and disadvantage of using those technologies. It also include cloud storage and
computing with their application, suitability, advantage, disadvantage in business and also
challenges and measure of privacy and security face by business.
MAIN BODY
Technologies used for business along with its application, feature, advantage and disadvantages
Zoom software: Zoom is a video conferencing app which is used for different purpose in
telecommunication, teleconferencing, distance education (Watty, McKay and Ngo, 2016). The
technology is introduced earlier but its significance is increased due to global pandemic. As due
to global pandemic, government put restriction on social gathering, it provide a way of meeting
without gathering. It provide virtual meeting of people which protect them from diseases and
also helps to save their time. It is suitable of business as they can work from anywhere and meet
their employee to discuss about growth, policy, strategy of business. Now a days people are
using Zoom for education, office meeting with out physical contact.
Features of Zoom app
Familiar icon: Zoom has familiar icon which helps user to understand function of app
easily. These icon help user to start, join, schedule meeting and allow user to share screen
in zoom room.
Recording and scheduling: Zoom allow user to schedule business meeting which
provide a reminder to users of meeting time. It also allow user to record and upload of
meeting which provide them evidence of meeting.

Larger room: Zoom has large meeting room as it allow to join about 500 people in same
meeting and 10000 people to zoom webinar. It is user friendly and allow to run software
even on mobile phones.

Zoom is a user friendly app which is used for video communication and it is reliable
platform which allow webinars, conferencing, video and audio (Linder, and Williander, 2017). It
is applicable in mobile as well as personal computers. It is suitable of small, medium and large
business and allow them to plan for business growth with employees.
Advantage of Zoom
Support large audience: Zoom is a software which allow telecommunication to large
number of user as it has capacity of up to 500 peopl. Zoom webinar allow 10000 user to do
meeting at same time. It is suitable for large business where there many employee and does not
have physical to gather them in one place for meting.
Free and user friendly: This app is free to use and has user friendly surface which helps
user to understand working of app easily. One can easily understand app by viewing its icon
which provide overview of use of app.
Disadvantage of Zoom
Easily hacked: Zoom app can be easily hacked by user as any one can join meeting by
simply entering code of meeting. This is the major disadvantage of this technology as many
unwanted people join business meetings and create disturbance. It is also wrong with the point of
privacy as there is always a issue related to privacy in zoom.
Lack of comment control: There is lack of control on commenting in zoom meeting.
The video quality in zoom app is low. There is no feature in it to delete inappropriate comment
in live chat which make it ineffective. It is difficult to control behaviour of people on zoom as
many people join zoom and create disturbance in meeting.
Microsoft Teams: Microsoft team is a software introduced by Microsoft is used as platform for
business communication (Tekin and Konina, 2017). The software is providing workspace chat,
file storage, video conferencing, application integration. It is gained interest in situation of global
pandemic as business are focusing on virtual meeting rather than physical meeting. This software
has allowed business to work even in situation of covid-19 without physical gathering.

Teams and channel: Microsoft team include channels which allow conversation
between different teammates. This software allow team members to view each other and
can have conversation in meeting. They can also invite other team members in meeting
for conversation. There is a chat option in this software which which allow team, group
to rite important message.
Online video calling and screen sharing: It allow business to video call with their
employee and clients without physical interaction. Video call option make this platform
more collaborative and provide desktop sharing with technical assistance.
Application and Suitability of Microsoft Team: Microsoft team is best best suitable for
business as it allow them to video call, chat, file storage which helps them to increase their
productivity. It is applicable in person computers, it not mobile friendly.

productivity of business by providing collaboration of all featured like online meeting, chats,

their working with employees, It can be done through Microsoft teams. By using this software,
an organisation does not need to email and put cc to inform everyone about meeting. This
software allow employees to send message to people they want to inform through channel and
also allow everyone to read that message who wants to read it.
Digital workplace: It provide business with benefit to go in digital workplace. Microsoft
teams is a solution based on cloud (Lemieux, 2016). It can access information from any device
and from anywhere. It helps business to work more smarter by adopting data processing and AI.
Disadvantage of Microsoft Team
Structure of file: It is difficult for business to identify where are files saving and every
time they need something, they need to search for them. It create confusion of business as well as
their employees Evert files which are uploaded between conversation is dumped through channel
root folder. Saving files correctly can lead to break link from conversation.

Limited Flexibility: It is difficult for user to identify which channel is suitable for them.
This can impact on work of business as they do not know for which channel is appropriate for
their work. It waste time of business and create difficulty for business and their employees.
Cloud storage and computing along with its advantage, disadvantage, suitability and application
Cloud Storage: Cloud storage is a model that saves data on through internet in computer
storage model (Yang, Zhu and Liu, 2019). It is responsibility of Cloud storage provider to
provide accessibility and availability of data. Business need cloud storage to save their data and
to protecting them.
Features of Cloud Storage: It provide feature like file versioning as it saves multiple
version of business files. It is important for business as they can retrieve their data safely. It also
provide automatic syncing as it helps business to update their edit direct in clouds. It provide
collaborative tool which helps business to share their files device in different ways.
Application and suitability: Application of cloud storage is for data management, data
storage, data service and for data access (Hiremath and Kunte, 2017). It is suitable for business
as they are having large files and does not have fix place to store and save that data. Cloud
storage is best option for them as it save data and provide them whenever they need that data.
Advantage of cloud storage: It is durable model and provide security of business data
and can be accessible anytime as data is always available in it. It does not require purchase of
hardware to store data and can be used by adding or removing data. It only cost of actual storage

networking and software. It solve problem like buying a central system for company and provide

pooling as it provide service to multiple user with helps of using different models. It saves cost
of business and provide them service within their budget. It is one of important tool for business
as it provide them information of uptime, capability and network storage to user.
Application and Suitability: It is suitable to save cost of business and provide them
effective recovery of data (Singh and Chatterjee, 2017). It is applicable for any one having large
data files and wants to solve problem related to storage of data.

can upload their file as per their requirement. It provide security of data as due to technical

Disadvantage of Cloud Computing: Cloud computing enable business to lost control
over their information as it is now uploaded on cloud. All cloud computing provide does not
provide necessary service, some provide only limited services which can create problem for
business as they have to contact different providers for different services.
Challenges and measures of security and privacy for business and other user
Challenges: online services provide many benefits to business and its user (Steinfeld,
2016). It make their working easier but at the same time, it create problem related to security and
privacy. Issues face by business in using online services are as follows:
Issue of data protection: To move business from offline to online create problem related
to data protection. There is always concern of data protection in online due to cyber attackers. It
can leak personal data and information of business.
Technical problem: In online business, evert activity is dependent on technology.
Technical error can be occur any time in business which can stop operation of business. Due to
this technical issue , sometimes business may lost their data. Business are uploading their all files
in cloud storage and in other medium which can result in loss of data.
Hacking: Hacking is again one of challenge face by business in using online technology
(Rauf, Shaikh and Shah, 2018). Business are uploaded their information on web which can be
hacked by hacker and this can cause huge loss to business. Hacker release private information of

business and release it to public or sold these information to competitors which can affect
business and their strategy of working.
Measures: online services create many challenges for business this can be solves by
adopting effective measures (Hussain, Hussain and Zeadally, 2019). Measures which helps
business and other user are as follows:
Strong password: It is important for business to ensure security fro their data and it can
be done with having strong password which cannot be crack by anyone. It can be done by using
capital, lower case letters, symbol and number in a combination. To protect data, business should
change their password frequently as it helps them to to ensure more security to their data.
Personal information like name, birth data should not be used as password.
Antivirus protection: Antivirus are essential for business or other user using online
services as it provide protection to business from attacks through network. It is important for
install effective antivirus as it maintain network speed in system.
Updating programs and backup: It is important for using online services that business
has updated program as it maintain effectiveness of programs along with their protection.
Updating software is important in order to maintain these software in right manner. To ensure
security of storage of data, it is important to take backup of data in pen drives or in clouds. It is
important of user either individual or business, to take backups on weekly basis. This process is
time consuming but ensure safety of business important data.
Provide education to employees: In order to maintain privacy and security of data,
business should provide education to their employee for data safety. It include providing
knowledge to employee about risk in their work and outcome of that risk. It ensure data safety at
work place along with maintaining privacy and protection.

From above mentioned project report it can be concluded that there are various skills
required by employee to work in digital age. As many business go online and situation of global
pandemic support online business as people are avoiding physical touch. In this global pandemic
business has not stopped their working by using different software which allow them to meet
virtually without physical contact. These software include zoom, Microsoft team, Web ex, team
viewer etc. These software provide many services like teleconferencing, video conferencing,
chat, sharing files etc. which make working of business easier but at the same time these have

many drawbacks that can affect operation of business. To move business online, they require
data storage problem which can solved by cloud computing and storage. As these tool provide
security and privacy to data of business and also save cost of business. All these online services
provide benefits to both business and their customer but it create many challenges related to
security and privacy of data. This issues can solve by business by adopting some measure like
strong password, antivirus, updating software etc.
