INTRODUCTION
Self assessment is the powerful tool to analyse the strengths and weaknesses an
individual has in its skill set. Personal reflection or self reflection writing is a very complex
process takes significant amount to think about, evaluate about and reflect those thoughts into the
words that will be representing our thoughts, behaviour and attitude. Basically a personal
reflection is the overall evaluation of the performance during the particular role. The present
essay is the personal reflection of my skills as a coach for which I have designed the coaching
assessment tool. The essay also contains a SWOT analysis of my skills and a PDP for my
development area.
MAIN BODY

The purpose of this coaching self assessment form is to assist my learning about being a
successful coach which will help me in creating a self progress development plan and to identify
my coaching strengths and weaknesses which will help me in setting my learning goals as per the
lower score areas.

Self assessment skills as a coach low high
I consider team work orientation as the first priority of my coaching practice. 1 2 3 4 5
During team orientations, I coach the individuals of the team to freely discuss
about their strengths and weaknesses.

I clearly state my weaknesses strengths personality styles and leadership styles
with my team members to create healthy relationship with them.

best role in the team to play that will help in achieving the common project
goals.

I coach each and every individual of the team to motivate and encourage each
other’s talent so that everyone should be loud to raise their voice during the

project meetings.
As a coach, I am punctual and organised and believe that it is very important to
regularly plan the schedules to meet deadlines.

As a coach at the end of every session I regularly spare some time from the
training to share the opinions and the observations regarding the individual
strengths and weaknesses during the current project process.

As a coach or instructor of a team I really believe that it is very essential to
plan celebrations which will recognise the major achievements gain by the
team, when team has delivered the excellent work and there is project success
or any other actions of the team that has contributed towards the quality and
the outstanding performance of the project process.

As a coach I really appraise and reward my team individuals whenever they
deliver the outstanding performance in gaining the success for the project.

I coach my team members to be patient and tolerant and recognise each other’s
talent and understand each other's perspective as well as my own.

increasing factors that helps the team to be committed and contributed towards

the future conflicts without interfering between the team members.

rules and regulations of the project in the beginning only and ask them their
consent before moving forward.

Analysing and reviewing the above coaching self assessment tool form that I asked my team
members to take some time and fill up for me so that I can recognise my loopholes during my
coaching period and my strengths that help the project to become successful and also help my
other team members in fostering their skills. With the help of SWOT analysis I will be analysing
my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of skills that I possess as a coach:
