ABSTRACT Effective communication is defined as the core of any successful enterprise or human endeavour. Innovation and organisations demonstrate how technique of communication learning and teaching can facilitate benefits and strengthen all enterprises in rapidly changing business world and technologies. This report has analysed the communication issue in Branda Retailer and emphasise its focus on communication issue emerge within the internal environment of concerned organisation. INTRODUCTION Effective communication is indispensible for development of an enterprise that assists manager in performing basic functions and help in creating innovative culture. It is a dynamic, innovative, ever-changing, adaptive and risk-taking process which generates new growth, new relationships and new thinking ways (Fuglsang and Sørensen, 2011). The report has outlined Branda Retailer (pseudonyms) which is one of the emerging fruit shopping centre in Australia. This report has highlighted the interpersonal communication issues that workers are coping with using proper research techniques and methods. METHOD, METHODOLOGY AND PROCEDURE Type of research Among other essential parts of research, there are basically two types of research i.e. qualitative and quantitative (Llewellyn and Hindmarsh, eds., 2010). Qualitative research is based on primarily exploratory research which is utilised to gain knowledge of underlying opinions, reasons and motivations. Quantitative research, on the other side, emphasise its focus on quantifying the issues through generating numerical information which can be transformed into statistics. This research is employing qualitative research in order to reach desired outcomes. Types of Data There are basically two types of data which is utilised in a report stated as primary and secondary data (Bryson, Rubalcaba and Ström, 2012). Primary data is stated as the first hand information through the researcher oneself. Secondary data can be defined as gathering data by someone else. In this report, primary data is accumulated using interview technique. Interview: An interview is basically organised and formal and may involve numerous interviewers, commonly referred as the panel interview. In this report, interview is taken from the supervisor of Branda Retailer in order to understand the structure of communication and issues which are faced within the working environment. Basically, there are two types of interviews; structured and unstructured. Structured interview is outlined in the report as this is organised, pre-determined and use formal and structured pattern of work. The questions of interviewhavepre-designedbyinterviewer.Interviewquestionsareopen-endedsothat interviewee can provide required information without any obligations (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). FINDINGS After analysing the interview, this has been comprehended that Branda Retailer is one of the emerging fruit retailer which has several shopping centres across the city. The interview was undertaken from the supervisor of Branda Retailer, Nina William who has discussed numerous issues as well as information of organisation, its communication patterns and its working structure. She discussed about the communication system which is employed by worker in enterprise.Shementionedthatworkerscandirectlycommunicatewiththedirectoror management in case of emergency, hence, enterprise has flat structure so that there will remain transparent communication systems within the workplace. On the other hand, Nina stated that they have no definite leave process as in case of emergency leave, workers have to discuss the causes with the management. On the other hand, managers provide flexibility in case of urgent leave to the employee of enterprise. She also discussed the essential traits of good supervisor i.e. hard working, communicative personality, patience and efficient in providing customer services. Although, the organisation organise numerouspracticestokeepmotivatingtheirworkplacesuchasteamworkingactivities, extracurricular practices etc. The most essential part of enterprise is its diverged workplace which creates more advance and unique culture of enterprise. Employees are given opportunity to express their views but there is no certain feedback framework within the enterprise which is the core issues which is identified in the report. This can state that enterprise is successfully working in the marketplace and their employees are entirely satisfied with the working pattern of firm along with its communication system. The company is popular for its creative working and innovative products delivery and service techniques which is one of the major strength of enterprise. DISCUSSION OR INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS This is interpreted from the above findings that Branda Retailer is carrying out suitable techniques to create better communications and have more creative structure of organisation. 2
Communication is consider as the heart of an organisation that creates relationship of enterprise with their people and is also liable for creating recognition at marketplace. Workplace requires positive working environment and proper structure of communication for nourish and prosper in the competitive market . After evaluating the interview of Nina, this is coherent that organisation has flat working structure where workers are provided information properly and are able to contact with the management directly in case of emergency. On the other hand, major issue which is identified in the interview is that there is not certain structure and process of interactions and feedback though response of employees is valued. Hence enterprise requires development in their intrinsic communication systems in order to change the workplace positively. RECOMMENDATION How effectively a message or piece of information is communicated is significant as the information or message itself. Branda Retailer can use numerous effective interaction strategies within their internal working environment to make the work more productive and create innovative working atmosphere at workplace. Here are suggested some methods which Branda Retailer can employ for strengthening their internal workplace system: Using Right Tools: Opting effective and suitable internal communication system can create transparency and secrecy in internal interaction pattern at the same time. Organisation can execute software like Yammer, Slack, HipChat etc. Be Visual: Purpose-built signage gadgets or software can be considered to emphasise on betterments of internal working system of organisation. CONCLUSION This can propound from the above report that communication is significant for growth and development of an enterprise whether it is the internal workplace or external environment. Effective communication supports innovations and best working within the organisation. This is essential for company to keep changing and improving their work environment in order to meet outstanding outcomes. Using appropriate techniques and strategy can help in enhancing the results and communication patterns in enterprise significantly. 3
