Introduction and Background
The Walmart is the world’s largest retail company around the world including
Singapore. The company succeeded in building a customer base around the world through
allowing the availability of the best products at the competitive price. The company has been
managing very vast supply chain across the world and it managing it in an efficient and
effective way could be challenging for the organization. The purpose of this report is to detail
the project management attributes and practices in successfully delivering a dinner and dance
event of one night for the employees of the Walmart staffs. The developed project plan and
constraints will be helpful and effective in delivering a successful event.
Project scope statement
The scope of the project is:
Keep entertainment at a hike that every individual is satisfied and happy with
the services being introduced to them.
Select an appropriate venue that is compatible of holding all the employees of
the staffs and allow proper arrangements with comfort.
Hire an effective sound or DJ that can keep the entertainment ongoing till the
night is over
Manage all the arrangements and estimation of the event within two months
and deliver the event on the estimated time
Keep the budget to $50,000+-10% and make sure to avail all the resources and
entertainment within the budget
Proper interaction with the staffs and employees, better dinner, full
entertainment in manner to make sure that the individuals are satisfied with the
services being managed for them.

To deliver a successful dinner and dance event considering heavy dinner and
heavy entertainment
To manage the project budget within $50,000 +_10% and successfully
delivered the event after making arrangements for 60 sixty days
To keep the food and entertainment at a hike that every individual is satisfied
To meet the above-mentioned scope of the project without any lagging factors
Deliverables
1. Dinner and Dance night full of entertainment
2. Music overloaded for keeping the entertainment at very high level
3. Have proper and appropriate venue that can hold the number of employees
currently working in Walmart
4. Heavy loaded foods of 25 varieties with additional beverages that can keep the
hunger away throughout the event
5. Proper facilities and comfort for every individual enjoying the event
6. Better dance floor and anchoring that can attract all the individuals at the event
and manage it accordingly
